Biden's opportunity to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict : Comments

By Alon Ben-Meir, published 4/12/2020

It is expected that Biden will support a two-state solution given his past position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, albeit a growing number of Israelis and Palestinians no longer believe that such an outcome remains viable.

It is 'expected' that the Israel-Palestine conflict will continue as it is, or worsen, irrespective of what Biden does. If Trump didn't make a difference despite his other brilliant international achievements, the dull-witted Biden, breaking his ankle while playing with a dog like a child, isn't going to do any good. Anyone 'expecting' anything from that rube is in for a lot of disappointment.

There has been no attempt whatsoever for moderation on the Palestinian side.

The above article starts with the assumption Biden has been elected President. Including that he is obtaining the 79 Electoral College votes from six states where there have been many allegations claiming he only won with the help of a lot of fraud. Trump needs a minimum of 38 votes from the disputed states and Biden 43 to gain the 270 total to win. It just needs enough of the results claimed by strongly Democrat influenced state government Executives and courts overturned by the Federal Supreme Court and /or largely Republican controlled State legislatures and Federal Congress. They all have power to do so. Will be interesting to see what happens and the end result. Then note Netanyahu, Gantz and the President of Israel apparently are now assuming Biden will be US President. Seems fitting for Trump to be less obliging regarding doing what they want if he remains in the job..

Agree! A two-state solution is the only possible outcome that will usher in lasting and enduring peace and Netanyuhan knows it! And why he more than anyone has sabotaged those that had been agreed to by both sides and only required ratification?

Of concern also, is how Biden will react to the premature redeployment of the Navy to the south and away from North Korea, Japan and Taiwan!

It seems like an invitation to a war? A declaration of a state of emergency and Marshal law, with all that implies, for the incumbent?

Biden has more than the 270 electoral college votes in the bag and certified! Therefore the winner! No question! Even Barr knows that!

One notes that Trump wanted to take his own appointed, Cybersecurity chief outside and have him shot?

One can only speculate on the only possible reason, for that rage? Was the success that that man had, blocking repeated Russian cyberattacks, aimed at changing the outcome of the election?

That hasn't prevented them coming here on OLO and alleging fraud and conspiracy? And a complete and utter waste of time!

We know who you are and where you live! Knock, knock, surprise. Meet my two best friends, Mr Colt and Mr Remington. Party time? Da?

Well I suppose the wishful thinkers can speculate on what might've been.
