Perhaps Boris never had a brain to lose. It seems clear that he was never a Conservative; but that doesn't make him any different from all of the centre-right leaders since Margaret Thatcher, the last true Conservative globally, along with Ronald Reagan.

Cummings, however, if we are to believe Suter, is an unpleasant character who made an arse of himself, and deserves what he got.

Boris made one good choice, Brexit, but appears to not have any more good choices in him.

Perhaps his dithering on most things since & total stupidity on transport & electricity policy is a symptom of having a greenie girl friend. It is often claimed that the wrong woman can make a fool of most men.

Aside from his failure to reply to the email I sent him last year, the most memorable thing about Dominic Cummings is that his name has become a golfing term! The definition is:
A really long drive that goes way out of bounds, but there's no penalty.

Looks like poor old Boris just came down with a second dose of coronavirus.

If he has it again, he'll almost certainly be asymptomatic and will get over it quickly.

I've previously said people can't get the same kind of coronavirus twice. I now know that to be incorrect. It was based on what I knew about how the body reacts to the Common Cold, which is also a kind of coronavirus... but I subsequently found out that only about a third of the hundred or so CC strains are caused by coronaviruses. The rest are caused by rhinoviruses. You can never get the same rhinovirus twice, but you can get the same coronavirus twice. However the second time, the body is much better equipped to deal with it, and mounts a strong secondary response.
