Our accidental Prime Minister doesn't believe in HR or freedom of speech because it "doesn't create one job". After that ludicrous statement, he went on to put 1 million Australians out of work with his China virus panic.

The UN Declaration of Human Rights doesn't cover all of the UN Principles of Human Rights see...
http://www.un.org/en/sections/what-we-do/protect-human-rights/ As Don Aitkin has said some of the UN Human Rights principles are contradictory. I like that he mentions that the family and education and how they are implemented are considered important considerations in The UN HR Declaration. He also mentions that the declaration was a document of the era in which it was created- perhaps indicating that some of the principles are not based on "timelessness". To Don Aitkin's credit this was a fairly balanced article... perhaps there was some moderate bias in it's support. Compared to the ABC Media this article was pretty fair. That being said I'm very concerned that in the current era the UN is doing much more harm than good. Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt influential in creating "The UN Declaration" were "lefties" from what I remember of their policies. Unlike Teddy Roosevelt who was a (Left or Centre??) Republican. This left bias colours international politics since the late forties. Even the US Declaration is based on the social progressivist principles of tabula rasa global universalism advocate John Locke. None of the Islamic countries have signed up to the UN Human Rights.
They have their own "Human Rights" declaration. It does not stop them being appointed to the UN Human Rights Commission. In fact one of them chaired the commission for a time. Saudi Arabia ? Anyway changes are on the way, Pakistan is officially moving that the UN declare that criticism of Islam be declared a crime. Have you heard anything of that in our local media ? Oh no, that would be Islamophobia ! For our sake, wake up ! Don't laugh, it already is a crime in Britain. Posted by Bazz, Friday, 30 October 2020 1:41:59 PM

To Bazz- Yes the capitulation to the Muslims by the British is extremely concerning for the western world. Thanks for mentioning it. Kudos.

Indeed Calum, in France the Muslims have laid it on the line in a
very clear manner. The French have to ban any criticism of Islam or expect more attacks. It is all because of the terrible treatment handed out to muslims in France. It is the French who are the villains in this and don't you forget it ! Posted by Bazz, Tuesday, 3 November 2020 2:31:35 PM

And means, we can't count on it or the U.N., but need to write our own and include in our own constitution! ASAP! And indeed put those who resist, regardless of their political stripes, last on the ballot paper, at the very next opportunity! That's the only way we'll get meaningful change/reform here! Alternatively, can wait until hell freezes over!
