This virus could be eliminated if we all observed a total two week shutdown or if the new three-minute test was deployed at all borders and all supermarket, sport or entertainment venue, transit entry and exit points.

Borders, ideally at some bridge or other feature, the non-compliant couldn't drive around! And all crossing them tested including all truck drivers!

With those testing positive forced into behind wire, quarantine. Until they test negative.

THe sooner we get a fit for purpose, mandatory testing regime rolled out and widely deployed the sooner we can get the borders, all of them and the economy reopened/restarted!

And we will need to continue with this regime and the social distancing, masks and food hand hygenie indefinitely, if we want to keep what we gained/taken back, from the ever present long-lived and mutating virus!

If that then reduces cold and flu outbreaks and death from the seasonal flu? That will be no bad thing anyway, given the flu can and has mutated into some very deadly strains, e.g., the Spanish Flu!

It might not be a perfect response? But one was clearly and demonstrably needed! And needed muscular police to ensure the recidivist non-compliant, comply!
