As a South Australian, I have no interest whatsoever in Fred Nile. I don't mind his religion or what drives him. I don't have a clue what he has or has not achieved while on the public purse. I do know that it is ridiculous for a person 86 years old to still be living, let alone still in parliament.

Judges/public servants have to retire at seventy? For obvious reasons, advancing senility, the onset of possible, early dementia/memory loss etc-etc?
Why then not just those who uphold the law and our alleged moral values/compass, but the lawmakers, lawgivers as well? Others lose their licence to drive after 85! Because for all practical purposes, very few of them can be said to be competent behind the wheel at that venerable age. I believe that what is good for the goose is good for the gander And old, possibly senile pollies ought be obliged to step down with the judges! And for the same self-evident reasons! And continue to contribute to public debate, on platforms like this or on the public speaking trail? Finally, those in public office must assuredly, be mentally competent! Alan B. thanks Greg. I met Fred Nile in the 1980's. Its really a pity that more pollies don't stand up for their convictions like Fred has/does. The NSW Liberals seem to be filled with many godless or gutless pollies who passed the most gross baby killing laws in the country. Labour/Greens are not even worth mentioning. Glady's in particular has shown she will sell her soul for a little power. Good to see such a fine young man like Martin Isles standing firm on decency and family issues. Strange thing that men like Trump and Mark Latham who to my knowledge are not even Christians fighting for decency and family against the godless marxist who have infiltrated every level of Government and institution in this country.

*...Others lose their licence to drive after 85! Because for all practical purposes, very few of them can be said to be competent behind the wheel at that venerable age...* Good point . In NSW, at 85 a driver is required to take a road test. If they fail, the lose their license on the spot. What complexity of test should apply to judges and any other public servants still @ctivly engaged in government business? Dan Posted by diver dan, Tuesday, 15 September 2020 6:47:35 PM

Greg,
Fred Nile has been a champion for God and God's absolutes in the public square. The former deputy Prime Minister John Anderson did it in federal politics. If there is a special place where we need a voice for God's justice, it's in the political arena. Without agreeing with all of his political stances, I find Fred to be a man of integrity who gets a 'bashing' in the secular media. I believe the last time I saw him on TV was on Q&A, ABC TV. There you'll find this kind of bullying of Fred: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5qE5TPL2Io. These are the kinds of protests against Fred Nile after his Q&A appearance, http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/tv-and-radio/anger-as-fred-nile-joins-qa-to-discuss-queer-issues-on-gaythemed-episode-20150610-ghkbrr.html He's a champion for biblical Christianity. I praise God that we have him to stand up for God's standards. May God bless you, Fred. Posted by OzSpen, Wednesday, 16 September 2020 11:14:05 AM
