I have just started reading this book several days ago and so far I am impressed. The authors' style is very readable. What I have found worrying is that the book appears to be explaining the COVID hysteria gripping the state government departments - particularly health and education - in Australia. (NSW excepted).

This article has relevance in our own society where the idea of reasoned debate seems to have largely gone out the window. This is particularly evident in some of our own universities, most evident when Chinese students object to lecturers who mention perceived human rights abuses in their homeland. The debate about climate change is another area where reasoned debate is generally lacking. I could go on.

Good intentions for whom ?

Young people are of course influenced by role models and behavior especially that of their leaders.
Remember too that the most powerful culturally formative influence on everyone's mind, body, emotions, and psyche is of course TV.

There is an immutable law of the human mind and psyche.
You become what you put your attention on.

What positive attitudes and behaviors does TV teach young people?
How many murders of one kind or another does the normal dreadfully sane person observe on TV during their formative years?

Many/most/all boys spend a lot of time (many hours each day) playing violent video games which are saturated with violence and misogyny. They are thus quite literally brain-washed with bad intentions and bad ideas.

Meanwhile a swamp-dwelling pathological liar and life-time grifter or super criminal or the arch (deliberately divisive) prophet (profit) of very toxic bad ideas, and very toxic bad intentions haunts the White House, the collective psyche of the USA body politic, and much/most of the rest of the world.

As such he both invokes and empowers all of the dark or shadow aspects of both the individual and collective behavior and aspirations of US citizens. And simultaneously engages in a full on assault on its potential better angels.

This is an article that we presume is true/factual? But is it? Are all of the stated untruths accurarately pigeon holed?

Or do some of the stated untruths contain an element of truth? I believe there is a contest between bad and good people, a contest between good and evil for our immortal souls.

I don't, for example, believe the universe came from the great nothingness. I mean, i.e., I started with nothing and have lots left! I believe there are some so evil to be beyound redemption and like misery want/crave company?

I won't point to specific ethnicities, given evil is not confined to any one example. And plenty at the top of the food chain in all races/philosophies?

I believe the best thing we can do for young minds is to teach them to think for themselves and to think criticaly as early as possible!

And condemn all examples of inculcated brainwashing, antisocial behaviour, cruelty, domestic abuse and inhumanity to man, wherever there are or have been examples we can point to? And without ignoring our own shortcomings as we do so!

After all, we are fallen angels seeking redemption and a way back to whence we came! And evil intentions or teachings, however justified, is never ever going to be the vehicle, neither is falsehoods, greed, cruelty, inhumanity, enslavement or the exploitation of others, the latter two, sometimes the same thing?

It doesn't matter say some, given they state without a single shred of verifiable evidence, that when we die, there is nothing. Having died an came back, I contest that assertion as do others, one example a man, a rich Canadian, clinically dead for eleven hours. And verified in available hospital records.

Saw both heaven and hell, came back a changed man no longer chasing the almighty dollar, but using his wealth to spread joy and happiness/meet unmet need! Given he now finally understands, that money is no more than a useful tool and that one can not take any of it with one!

I think you're callously exploiting a couple of small facts mixed with an overdose of hypocritical vindictiveness !
You can not seriously compare 'The Apprentice' with the utter rott that is now flashing across our TV screens.
At least this guy is looking for the the plug to drain the swamp whereas your lot is dumping so much crap into it to obscure that plug !
Hypocrisy & jealousy are indeed a dreadful ailment to suffer from !
