By David Leyonhjelm, published 20/8/2020

Self-interest is simply a reflection of incentives. If you have a secure income you can afford to worry about your health.

Interesting ideas David.
I've pondered the idea that public payroll recipients be offered exemption from income tax liability on their salaries/payments in return for exclusion from electoral rolls.

But I like your thinking. Anything encouraging a facilitary mindset would have to help.

As someone who likes Morrison I see the handling of this 'pandemic' over the last few months as a failure. Doing a deal with the socialist Governments including SA Liberal party has turned out to be the most stupid decision made in modern times. To keep propping these dictator Premiers up with my grandchildren's money is total stupidity. Morrison should be able to see that these Premiers popularity is being propped up by Federal money while the country is bankrupt. Under the manslaughter laws that Andrews wants for private business he himself should be serving a life sentence. Meanwhile not one public servant losing pay and many of them getting increases. I thought nothing could ever be worse than the Rudd/Gillard/Turnbull years. I was wrong.

I see Melbourne & Sydney as a rabbit warren & the people acting & carrying on like rabbits so, is it any wonder they're spreading the myxomatosis-like COVID-19 like rabbits ?

in return for exclusion from electoral rolls
Jamo,
I have long said Public Servants should not voting for rather obvious reasons ! They already have an incentive, a pretty secure job with impunity to incompetence & corruption !
But first things first, introduce a Flat Tax followed by a term of non-military National Service for all unemployed 18-21.

Australians don't want "incentives"; they want politicians who do not mimic Communist Chinese Party dictators.
ttbn,
I think it's more a case of Australian politicians wanting Australians who don't demand so many products made in China.
