I don't get mailed messages urging me to adopt solar technology on my roof. If I do, I was told, my electricity would be free!

Only last week I got another visit from Solar Company rep. He offered me a 6.6Kw with no money up front & at "only $34/week for 5 years at which time I'd "own" the system & would start reaping in a whopping 8 Cents per kw.
My present cost is $1.34/day.
He was pretty upset when he didn't make his quota of 10 new customers/day.
Due to my location, this system is double the cost of exactly the same in Brisbane due to transport plus with the interest it would end up costing $10,500.
So, a $3995 system for $10,500 for someone at 70 years of age is simply not an incentive to go "green" which btw. is highly polluting to manufacture.
