By Binoy Kampmark, published 3/8/2020One noisy theme in the Donald Trump Disruption Show in an otherwise chaotic assemblage of messages has remained fairly constant: winding back US troop commitments.

Binoy your continual small timer sniping at Trump is becoming very booing.
I'll bet you had another similar post prepared for use if Trump decided to keep the troops in Germany. Give it a rest, you are just making yourself look small. Posted by Hasbeen, Monday, 3 August 2020 12:20:43 PM

"The military spenders in Poland will be disappointed."
Well that got old in a big hurry.... "The United States and Poland have agreed for the US to deploy at least 1,000 additional American troops and have a permanent military presence in the European country. The agreement, which was announced by Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak on Friday, would probably arouse Russia’s indignation against the backdrop of NATO-related tensions between Moscow and Washington. The deal would have Washington station a permanent garrison of troops in Poland to oversee forces on NATO's eastern flank, Blaszczak said. "At least 1,000 new soldiers will be deployed in our country. We will have an American command in Poland. This command will manage the troops deployed along NATO's eastern flank," Blaszczak said in a press release." http://www.presstv.com/Detail/2020/08/01/630854/US-deal-Poland-troops-deployment-NATO-Russia It "would probably arouse Russia’s indignation". How can that be? After all we all know Trump is Putin's puppet!! Posted by mhaze, Monday, 3 August 2020 1:04:43 PM

Works for Russia and Trump's special friend in Moscow, Mr Putin? Da?

Soon as I see this writers name and Trump I know I could have written the piece myself. Usual stupid, inaccurate posturing and bile. Mate you do not like POTUS, too bad, get over it. Just thought I would let you know someone else thinks you are a hopeless dill!

All these Tramp troop rearrangements are too vague, complex and long-term for Binoy von Blitzkrieg's generalisations.
If Biden wins then Chump's troop redumps may well be cancelled. Posted by plantagenet, Monday, 3 August 2020 1:54:07 PM

Binoy
There you go again. Trump's promise to the US voters and taxpayers was to force the Europeans to pay their share of the defence costs. Nothing was promised about reducing numbers in Europe. Trump's promise to the US voters and taxpayers was to reduce and eventually end the involvement in wars in the Mid East. ie two separate promises, which you in your usually chaotic ways conflated the two and in your confused state have alleged trumps aims are chaotic and inconsistent. btw Poland where troops are to be redeployed pays it's 2%, Germany doesn't. That you used as an example of subterfuge. Really Mate, that fits Trump's promise on Europe. Germany is now relying on its neighbours for its defence, rather than the US. It is them you should be castigation. Trump has been clear and consistent on returning Jobs from overseas, confronting China's theft, reducing illegal immigrating, reducing taxes, negotiating fairer trade, reducing bureaucracy, improving unemployment and increasing wages. ie Making America Great Again. I don't think you are small minded, but I'm starting to think your tactics are deliberate in an attempt to stir up people who actually can comprehend things. This is fairly typical of passasive aggressive behaviour. You are entitled to a viewpoint, but with your bio, I expect at least basic comprehension skills and logical thought. The article is a distortion. Posted by imajulianutter, Monday, 3 August 2020 3:58:19 PM

Hi imajulianutter, JBowyer, Hasbeen
and the more intelligent posters in this thread. Trump is clearly Great for all Americans and for we un-deserving foreigners who fail to appreciate him. Please excuse the LANGUAGE uttered by Trump's new White House Press Secretary. Here she is: http://youtu.be/dpIkl2QnJeI And Remember: "TRUMP 2020 - With a President like this, who needs Terrorists." plantagenet,
I bet those people who put that video together couldn't run a chook raffle for more than half a day. The reason why they have such a high COVID-19 rate is simply down to very old people & those who don't heed the health warnings. Instead they say the Govt didn't heed the warnings. Well, with people like that why would thay ? Posted by individual, Monday, 3 August 2020 6:23:21 PM

One thing is clear - they will not be there for us.
When China attacks, we will be on our own unless we strengthen our ties with other Asian-pacific countries, especially India. Bye Bye America, good for nothing! Posted by Yuyutsu, Monday, 3 August 2020 6:42:53 PM

Bye Bye America, good for nothing!
The above quote by Yuyutsu clearly shows the gratitude we can expect from people who live off what predecessors have provided ! Is it any wonder the mess our aged Care facilities are in ? You're old & of no more use just give us your money & die quickly ! Let's see how these thankless & heartless beings will cope if we turn off the electricity to them ! They'd die before our eyes at the pace the batteries run out on their devices ! Would be a great lark to watch really ! Posted by individual, Monday, 3 August 2020 10:30:30 PM

Thank heavens that the USA and the free world have a President in Donald Trump who sees right through the bovine excreta and gets right to the core of a problem. Germany, and many other European countries, have been bludging off the US defence budget for decades, and not spending anywhere near enough on their own defence. Germany is the worst offender, as it has the strongest economy and one of the lowest spending in terms of GDP. Merkel would rather spend trillions encouraging Arab and African "refugees" to come to Germany and rape German women and loot Germany than on defending Germany. I thought that keeping armies of rapists and looters out of your country was what armies were for?
Binoy's claim that senior European military officials are incensed with Trump's behaviour, sounds like complete malarkey to me. German Armed Forces chiefs have been pleading with Merkel to spend more on the German military for decades and you can bet that they are cheering Trump on. Withdrawing troops might stimulate some neuronal activity in Merkel's head, in the same way as skyrocketing Covid-19 infections stimulated the brain activity of that prize leftist goof, Victoria's Daniel Andrews. So too, the military leaders of every other European countries as well, even thought they know that their own nations economies are not as strong as Germany's. The USA should pull right out of Europe anyway. Russia is not the Soviet Union. Russia lost almost half it's population after the breakup of the USSR and the WARSAW PACT nations are now mostly part of NATO. Russia should be more worried about Europe, than Europe should be about Russia. And why US taxpayers should be subsidising the Europeans, at least half of which share Binoy Kampmarks peculiar views and hate the USA and Trump anyway, is a pertinent question. The USA has been the world's policeman for decades and it is a role which is sending it broke, as well as attracting criticism from the same sort of BLM/ANTIFA/Cancel Culture morons who hate all police forces anyway, until the day they personally need one. LEGO, Outfits such as the UN have been maggotting off the US for decades in return for what exactly ? Let these countries with their cultures of conflict deal with themselves for a change. One never knows they could possibly even come to their senses with a Million to one chance ! Meanwhile the West can recharge their coffers. Sort of like China is doing, looking after nr 1. None of these academic bleaters would last a day without the freedom the US has helped us to attain ! Posted by individual, Tuesday, 4 August 2020 7:32:16 AM

Memo From Trump To His Good Mate Putin:

plantaganet and his equally clueless sidekick, Alan B, think that moving troops out of Germany invites a Russian invasion.
Demonstrating that they understand geography and military strategy in the same way as my budgie understands nuclear fusion, they fail to realise that any Russian invasion, if the Russians could muster the forces, would need to come THROUGH Poland. And what is one of the places receiving more troops? Poland!! Honestly. Dills abound. Posted by mhaze, Tuesday, 4 August 2020 11:15:24 AM

"Russia, who invaded and occupied part of Germany in 1945". Come on plantagenet, we know you have been a bit off colour recently with some of your comments, but mate, seriously, you need to go see the men in white coats, before they come & collect you.

To Plantagenet. Russia did not invade Germany. The USSR did. Russia is not the USSR. WARSAW PACT is now a part of NATO. Russia is broke. Their new "invincible" tank the T-14 "ARMATA" broke down right in front of the Red Square during it's first public debut and it has been such a disappointment that the Ivans latest tank is simply an updated T-72. The M1A2 Abrams shot the ever lovin'shiit out of Iraqi T-72's in the Gulf War. Every time a Russian tank commander sees a picture of an M1A2 Abrams, he hits the vodka.

Joe Biden's mate Putin is an opportunist, and if Germany is too weak to counter Russia, it means Putin can get away with a lot more.
That Germany has spent so little on defending itself is primarily because the US has done all the heavy lifting which is why the US is sending a message. Posted by Shadow Minister, Saturday, 8 August 2020 6:16:22 AM
