Singapore’s Malay dilemma : Comments

By Murray Hunter, published 2/7/2020

There has always been a feeling among Singapore's ethnic Malays that they are second-class citizens within their own land.

Well, this is a case of chickens coming home to roost. The Malay majority persecuted the ethenic Chinese and Indians, brought there as forced labour in the tin mines etc., confiscated their properties, business enterprises and forced many to relocate to Penang and Singapore. were their industry turned it into the tiger economy it is now!

Now that it is what it is, has what it has. the Malays want to reclaim it. After handing it over as sovereign territory to get rid of the Chinese problem. One wonders if the possible gas provinces in the Singaporian economic zone is the real cause of the Malaysian dilemma?

yep all people groups are discriminate against others. In Malaysia the Chinese don't get the same benefits and are treated worse than the muslims. Some small Indigenous Malay groups have been threatened with no electricity and services unless they convert o Islam in various places. No wonder so many people want to come to Australia.

Why doesn't anybody like the Chinese nation (which includes its diaspora)?

I think Jared Diamond gave a reason in his 'Collapse' referring to them as an invasive species wherever they go. Basically, I think he was referring to the Chinese nation as locusts and parasites.

And now they are getting angry and aggressive as the rest of the world is turning away from them and blaming them for the economic and health impacts wrought by the WuFlu pandemic.

I think you can sum it up with some observation yourself.
Look at any Chinese owned business.
How many non Chinese do you see ?
One exception I notice is Bing Lee.

Bazz,

What are you getting at?

Are you trying to tell us that the Chinese are not practising multiculturalism? Are you telling us they might be racist? Are you saying they want everything to be Chinese?

Don't worry Bazz, Australia has a Chinese future.

In fact Scott Morrison is arranging to transport several million cashed up Chinese here from Hong Kong asap. Lucky us!
