Dear Hasbeen,

You charge; "At least SR he is extrapolating from facts, not from some wild assumption as have the modelers advising chief medical officers have been doing."

Nope. He is engaged in wild assumptions about the infection levels in the community purely from the tested numbers. A reporter seems to attempt to pull him up but he looks bemused but doesn't address the question.

Erickson is an emergency medicine doctor. He is not a modeler not an epidemiologist nor a specialist in viral infections.

As the American College of Emergency Physicians said; “As owners of local urgent care clinics, it appears these two individuals are releasing, non-peer reviewed data to advance their personal financial interests without regard for the public's health.”

To be describing Covid19 as like a bad season of the flu is utterly incorrect. Look mate, I get that these two managed to get their mugs on Fox News and their stance, however unsupported it is with real data, is falling in line with the Trumpettes but you really should cut them loose.

SteeleRedux,

I think Dr Erickson is extrapolating from facts from his own medical business involving up to date data in his community. Plus he draws on other data. Facts are at this point in time in Australia since January 2020, there have been only 96 deaths out of 5,889 cases in a population of 24.99 million.

SR, why don't you and others address the shortfall in Covid deaths and treatment in comparison to the mass death pandemic that is not occurring? Then comment on the social and economic impact of draconian restrictions. Then comment on urgent solutions to overcome national recession?

Yes, those doctors have a commercial motive for speaking out but big pharma has a huge commercial motive for dismissing comment that does not fit in with delay to get a Covid-19 vaccine developed and into the world market.

SR do you have a problem with the doctors "mugs" and Trump?
The absolutely low Covid death rate in Australia has nothing to do with Trump.

As for your comment about cutting people loose, that's a way to cut off communication and debate and solutions

How can China be the source of Covid-19 in December 2019 or January 2020, if that virus was in Australia earlier in 2019 and in Sweden in November 2019, as the following evidence indicates?

Fake news is now known to occur and there is increasing evidence deaths other than due to Covid are being added to the covid death toll.
Politics of blaming Trump in an election year are a likely motive.
