Trump's dreadful foreign policy : Comments

By Alon Ben-Meir, published 4/2/2020

Trump has no coherent foreign policy doctrine, no understanding of historical perspective, and no knowledge of the intricacies of various regional conflicts.

I don't understand why so many Americans voted for Trump in the first place as he always appeared to me to be a rather ignorant, infantile and Narcissistic individual who used women for his own gratification and boasted about it. He had no experience of foreign relations only his own. Why he could ever be a leader of the United States is beyond me with all his childish tweets and back flips.

snake,
They voted for him because they found that those Public Servants & bureaucrats climbing up through the ranks have always failed. So, a businessman who hasn't been inducted into the swamp was & is seen as a viable alternative. If anything, more Americans apparently have jobs now than under the previous models ! Academics don't understand that but that's how it is.
Cold hard cash in the pocket feeds the family whereas warm'n fozzy rhetoric doesn't !

What I can't understand is why Australians feel the need to argue the toss about foreign politics and politicians. It's not if we don't have enough problems with our own, whom we actually get to vote for, or against. I bet the Yanks don't even know who our leader is.

Defies logic's rational, but then so have all the other would be if they could be, rulers of the world?

And we could all be forgiven for deciding he is a mad as a cut snake? I could say more and what I really think?

But nobody is listening and nobody cares! Just as long as the odd palm is lined with the obligatory, allegorical, forty pieces of silver?

Even as our world accelerates toward an extinction event!

You are right ttbn, the majority of Americans would have no idea who our Prime Minister was and wouldn't care much about Australia or even know where it was. They would have heard of The Crocodile Hunter and that's about all. However, what happens in the USA and what decisions are made there often directly affect us here, so we naturally have an interest in who governs there unfortunately.

Yep Trump exposes and starts to drain the swamp. No wonder they fight back with endless criticism. Those horrible 'ignorant' deplorables growing by the day as we approach the 2020 election. On the other hand the lying left liberal media, academia, globalist are all looking pretty petty and silly as Trump has kicked goal after goal.

Professor Dr. Alon Ben-Meir, your words of well written wisdom are but farts in a fan factory.

A coherent American foreign policy is but a casualty of Trump's winning domestic re-election strategy.

Trump's simple-minded Tweets, now American foreign "policy", are mainly aimed at the simple-minded American voters who will very likely vote Trump into a second term at the November 3, 2020 Presidential Election.

Trump likes to win at any cost. If that means a world in disarray Trump couldn't care less.

You're just a little wrong there plantagenet.

Trump wants the US to win at any cost. If that means the bludging Europeans, the UN or the conniving Chinese end up in disarray Trump couldn't care less.

God don't we need a Trump here.

Hi Hasbeen

Australia would need a much larger military and nuclear weapons to kick arse like Trump.

For those who find/found it hard to understand how Mr T got IN, is very simple.
All the previous clowns were all puppets of a much bigger and wealthier group of people, and they were just mouthpieces.
They were all acting, even the so called first black pres. was stereo typical of Presidents passed, all con-men.
Obummer was just another sleazebag, lying scum, who talked a lot and said nothing.
He was so charming, rubbish!
He was excrement, why because he was a fraud.
Now Mr T ain't no saint, but he is stereotypical of not only the American working class, but even the Aussie working class.
Have you listened to those around you lately, they exaggerate, they are bigoted, racist, chauvinists, and all the other things he is accused of.
In other words he is a normal guy, mentally and emotionally.
The only reason MOST people say they don't like him is to save face around the aggressive jelly brains, feminists, and neuters.
There is this generation of just plain sick and out of touch snag like creatures, who are so insecure they have to virtue signal anyone who does not agree with them and their ideals.
This new breed of soft cocks, are ill at ease when faced with or near REAL MEN.
So Mr T is more normal, more like us than you want to admit if your one of these new limp wristed nobodies who are slowly growing in numbers, but fortunately never enough to be of any consequence.
So yes I would rather have a Trump at the helm than whatever the hell we pull out of the sewer here at home.
As for foreign policy, we should close our borders now before we get overrun by the wrong kind of people.
And before you all start barfing on ignorantly, stop and look around the world, other countries people, not the govt, have realised that this foreign policy of taking refugees or whatever the hell they are called today, has proven to be THE greatest social mistake in history.
We must close the borders, NOW!
