If you have a value system of your own? The best way to transfer it is to stay true to it yourself and your own integrity.

Even in the face of the most hostile character assassination by folk with a very different self-serving personal, you go visit the nearest taxidermist, agenda!

The best investment in the world is to teach your children to think independently and to learn from their own knowledge garnered and based on facts.

Vern,

Thank you for a superb article that exemplifies what Jesus Christ taught: 'I did this as an example for you. So you should serve each other just as I served you' (John 13:15).

The Christian way of life is, 'You should be an example for them in every way by the good things you do. When you teach, be honest and serious. And your teaching should be clearly right so that you cannot be criticized. Then anyone who is against you will be ashamed. There will not be anything bad they can say about us' (Titus 2:7-8).

This is not a model of CRAP but models the Bill & Melinda Gates' Foundation and the followers of Jesus Christ.

OzSpen you have provided nothing to the conversation, based on an irrational belief in something which is literally made up.

If there was an historical Jesus it is highly probable he was an an Essene, a member of a ‘brotherhood’ which was in existence around the purported time of the man. He was not divine, nor a healer/saviour etc.

I still can’t fathom how anyone can earn a PhD writing about a mythical entity, copied I might add, from hundreds of much older religious beliefs. No wonder our educational system is going down the gurgler rapidly. Get a grip man.

If you inculcate religion into your children’s minds, you do nothing but delude them and damage their real learning opportunities for life.

The Rabbi Jesus, a Jew, was reportedly a member of the Essene sect, an early form of Buddhism, which was then already a thousand years old.

And were reputedly healers with vast knowledge of herbal medicine. And probably underlines the many similarities between early esoteric Christianity and Buddhism.

None of which included Pagan sacrifice at an altar or a 700year old sealed confessional Or mandated celibacy! Nor building great edifices to glorify God.

Even marriage was copied from the tradition of the Druids and only around 300 years ago were they tied the knot.

Most of what constitutes modern Christianity was imposed on the Church as his literal creation, by Constatine a roman pagan and sun-worshipper! Some 350 years after the event.

Its history includes Sword-wielding Bishops and Popes at the head of bloodthirsty armies butchering all unbelievers. Along with centuries of protected and sheltered peadophillipedia. And holy rollers!

If this upcoming generation is being denied education just as their parents were then nothing will change. A National Service now would ensure better teachers & students within five years & a morally improved society here in ten !

Life without God is nothing but vanity. The best investment any person can give their children is to teach them about truth personified (Jesus Christ). It is only in Him we can learn what truth, love and hope are. All else are at best counterfeits.
