'Blood on the Stone': review : Comments

By Ken Macnab, published 4/10/2019

'Blood on the Stone' clearly and deliberately resonates with the current techniques of 'political chicanery', such as 'fake' news, bombastic oratory, 'truthiness', foreign interference, blatant hypocrisy and so on.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Im sure the Sydney university department of peace and conflict resolution, is similarly good intentioned.

As opposed to the aristocracy of medieval England, (this book review), our elite are yet to taste the wrath of the mob they cheerfully destabilise. But I fear the time moves closer.

Dan,I suspect the current mobs are presently disinterested in today's political chicanery as they struggle to keep ahead of their own problems. That being said, the article is somewhat of a parable about our own times in various bailiwicks.

As much as academia denies it, people groups that have adopted Judea Christian ethics have produced the most peaceful society's on this planet. God denying and religious bigotry always ends in pain and suffering. Certainly socialism has been a fine example of that. Now that the swamp have infected so many people's minds it unlikely that peace will increase. Look at the tantrum throwing entitled brats like getup and Antifa who use violence against anyone who disagrees with their sick Marxist narratives.

runner tells us that societies that follow
Judeo-Christian ethics produce peaceful societies.

I guess we should ignore - religious wars, treatment of
pagans, all the anti-minority violence, all the missions to
convert, the crusades, the treatment of heretics, witches, Jews,
native peoples, the Catholic extermination camps (Croatia -
ustasha), Catholic terror in Vietnam, Rwanda massacres,
anti-abortion violence, and the list goes on. And lets
not mention the sexual abuse of children.

And if we do mention any of that we'll be branded a
godless, socialist, Marxist. After all he's a awlf-
proclaimed God- loving Christian. Spreading love and peace
is his goal on this forum.
