One issue is the reality of "fake news". On a political scope in the US, Trump accused the media of being fake while the election of president was ongoing. The other side said there was no such issue going on. Then right after the election results the other side changed their tune real quick with Russian sabotage of the elections also including fake news spread in Facebook posts to manipulate the election voters. Since then fake news and Facebook went hand and hand with more uncovering the issue.

It's a legitimate concern what is real, verses what is news that sells but holds no honest reporting. As we'll as Internet news becoming less reliable but being a competators to more traditional news sources. (Making other news outlets slide on their reporting and researching in order to content with false new reports). Add to that violence to journalist in some countries, and you can say that this is a world wide issue of honest and good reporting.
