'The right of return' to where? : Comments

By Alon Ben-Meir, published 13/8/2018

The Palestinians have been led astray, believing that there is still a prospect for the Palestinian refugees to return to their original homes in today's Israel.

Mox,

Congrats for a record length of invective adjectives against Israel. I'm sure that you have to wipe the spittle off your monitor.

As for the battle-weary Syrian army who've lost most of their military hardware and couldn't even put down an internal insurrection, the thought of them trying to tackle the Israelis is laughable.

Hey Philip S,
I think it's all for show, to buy some moral standing amongst the peoples of the world, that never actually existed.

Hey Shadow Minister,
I didn't know we were having an Israel Invective Competition.
I might've put my entry in but I'm really not in the mood at present to get all bent out of shape over its actions and hypocrisies.

You're right about the SAA having no chance of taking back the Golan.
Israel's strength is it's air force and no invading army would be allowed to get that close, whether the Golan Heights belongs to Syria or not.

What is really concerning me is a potential war with Iran in the coming months.
If it's going to happen, I expect allies will use 'Iranian attacks on Saudi oil shipments' in the Strait of Hormuz as a pretext, after halting Iranian oil exports.

AC,

Iran is not going to try to block the straits of Hormuz as the last time an American ship struck a mine they laid, the US sank half their navy, damaged most of the rest and destroyed much of their land-based naval assets. The Iranians have also suffered heavy casualties from their attempts to attack Israel.

Secondly, the sanctions will do more damage, and already there is unrest amongst the citizens in Iran.

Israel had no barriers to Arabs living and moving freely in Israel, until the terrorist attacks began, happening in Israelis cafes,
and public areas(sound familiar)
I was reading that there were well over 100 of these bomb attacks.

One of the final straws was the blowing up of a school bus full of Iraelie children.
The Israelies became more hardened about who was allowed to come and go into Israel.
They didn’t build a fence for nothing. It was to stop the constant attacks on Israel.

The Palestinians don’t want a two state solution, they want the prosperous well run wealthy jewel that is Israel.
They themselves have oppressed their people so much they have been incapable of building something like Israel. The Palestinian leaders are
corrupt and oppressive to their people. This creates no progress and poverty.
