Like Israel, they believe in the Peace Process but not in the Peace itself for that reason.

Also, the NATO figures Trump announced for the USA were not really for NATO but for all their own defence network, including the cost of numerous military bases they have in various NATO countries but not neccesarily for NATO purposes. Based on their track record I treat all announcements from this administration with a degree of suspicion.
