Re the comments on China, I note with interest how China refers to
Australia as "being in the region".
This is a subtle bit of suzerinism aimed at gathering us into its
Sphere of Influence.
It relies on a lack of knowledge that Australia and China are in
opposite parts of the world. Also it relies on the public's lack of
understanding of Mercador's world map projection on their school's walls.
Ask anyone is Paris closer to Beijing than is Darwin ?
99% of the time you will get the wrong answer.
Ask are they aware that a degree of latitude is 33% smaller in the
Southern Hemisphere and 99% will say they did not know.

China is relying on that ignorance to suck us into its influence.

Yes Alan, I have lost count of the number of beers I have won on
similar bets. Who is closer to Asia France or Australia is another
good one.

All these thing are unstable, especially Turkey. Though, Russia will be searching for new friends and this is really dangerous for democratic world.
