Marvel Infinity War villain is lefty green do-gooder : Comments

By Darren Nelson, published 18/5/2018

The Economics Infinity War, in a nutshell, is a story of do-gooders versus good-doers of the economic variety. The former are all about intentions, the latter results.

Well argued anti-green lefty article! And displays how mostly moribund government rule by demonstrably insane divide and rule instruments. We are not running out of resources! We're just not recycling reusing them the way nature and the universe always does. And where nothing whatsoever is wasted! Here's what the anti-development green lefties invariably miss or studiously ignore. One unit of thorium contains a much energy as one million hydrocarbon units. And that thorium is less radioactive than a banana. Moreover, because it, thorium is fertile, not fissile, it cannot be compressed to create a nuclear thermonuclear explosion. Albeit some of the products of it use may be. But with extreme difficulty that almost renders them unusable. Even so the fact that one unit of thorium contains as much energy as one million units of hydrocarbon, means energy cheap enough to recycle and reuse everything and desalinate enough water for the entire human race, regardless of where they live. All that stands in the way is entrenched power, control freaks and powerful vested interest that puts their own ambitions and desire ahead of the planet and the rest of the human race! Usually, in the mistaken belief, this will cost them something or make them poorer! Alan B.

Darren mistakenly believes this to be a left v right issue, but in reality neither side always gets better results. And Austrian Schoolers are invariably in the do-gooders camp - supporting policies that they wrongly believe to be good, even though any objective analysis would show they don't get better results.

As for the three quotes in the end:
1) fails to recognise that we HAVE curbed population growth. And it misunderstands Malthaus's point: he argued that human population is capable of exponential growth, not that it inevitably would grow exponentially.

2) is largely correct. Some resources (such as oil) are becoming scarce, but there are alternatives.

3) holds true for the example given, but doesn't work so well for problems that have more than one solution.

Applied "free" market economics and politics 101 in three stark images - quite literally the politics and "culture" of death

Re panel 13 - the brutal imperial/colonial conquest of the Americas was authorised by various papal bulls which "authorized" such conquests in the "name of 'god'" and for the "glory [gory] of 'jesus'".
Meanwhile the conquest continues. Or put in another way the WETIKO disease/psychosis is very much alive and "well" (sic)

The film was actually second rate and quite boring.
And you gotta roll around on the floor laughing when Ravi Zacharias is pointed to as an "authority" on the the nature of Ultimate Reality.

Nevermind too that Saint Jesus of Galilee was the penultimate example of a western do-gooder. Which is of course why he was murdered by the Roman state with the connivance/approval of the then ecclesiastical establishment.

Two more all-American loons
http://americanloons.blogspot.com/2013/10/734-john-hagee.html
http://americanloons.blogspot.com/2017/02/1789-robert-jeffress.html

Why do I mention these two psychotic nut-jobs?
Because strangely enough (but not really) both of them were featured speakers at the opening of the new American embassy in Jerusalem. As was David Brody.

The plot sickens!

I haven't seen any of the Avengers movies so far. Only got around to watching Dr. Strange tonight. I'm feeling generous, so I'll give it two out of five.

From my limited perspective, the Marvel movies seem to be on somewhat of a downward spiral, discounting the odd exception to the rule like Deadpool or Guardians of the Galaxy.

But if Captain America is the best that Dazza can recommend about the Avengers, I'll give them a miss. Captain America is the gayest superhero ever.
