The loss of the Church’s authority: nature : Comments

When people ask me, what work I have done and I explain that I worked as a neuroscientist and as a Uniting Church minister, the response is always one of mystification.

Dear Peter,

In other words, just sentiments, feelings, desires, thoughts, imagination … no spirits and nothing spiritual – just material !

So there never was a Holy Spirit after all. No Holy Trinity, just a Holy Duo. And no Jesus, either. Mathew and Luke’s narratives of the conception of Jesus in the womb of Mary by the Holy Spirit must have been fake news !

Well, that really is a revelation, Peter. Thanks for setting the records straight, after all these years.

It’s reassuring to learn there never were any spooks out there who could pop out from that “spooky otherworld” and do all those things written in the bible and relayed by the Church with great clamour.

Much ado about nothing !
