Bigger citizens and smaller governments: Warren Mundine’s great Australian autobiography : Comments

As a former Australian Labor Party president and advisor to conservative prime ministers John Howard and Tony Abbott, Mundine is not known for pulling his punches.

A likeable person, Mundine spent his time as advisor on aboriginal affairs being totally ignored by the totally unlikeable person, Malcolm Turnbull. He was was disrespected by by an ignorant oik of a prime minister, and resigned. A great pity, but politicians don't want advice that they don't want to hear. It should be noted, however, that people who did listen to Mundine would have noticed his lack of consistency; his mind did tend go walk about.

Mundine knows Turdbull. "We are from the government and are her to help" you know the rest. The disaster that is rural aboriginee communities and a splendid example of socialism at work

The problem is that the sh1t hit the fan a long time before Malcolm or Warren got involved and the current situation is like trying to unscramble an egg. There are too many people out there hell bent on keeping things going the way they are. For a start, the government needs to wind back the "Native Title" Act and get rid of the white "helpers" who for a large part are only in it for what they can get out of the government.
