The rising of Britain's 'new politics' : Comments

By John Pilger, published 9/10/2017

While Sanders is a familiar American liberal politician, Corbyn may be a phenomenon, with his indefatigable support for the victims of American and British imperial adventures.

There's an old expression John that goes, Better to keep your mouth closed and have people only suspect you are a brainless moron, than open it to remove all doubt.

Are you Serious John? Stalinist communism cost the lives of countless millions who died or disappeared in communist gulags!

And this is what you a communist to the back teeth and Putin's man in Britain, want for gullible disenchanted British youth?

Talk about flogging a dead horse!

Put it away John, you'll go blind!

Another Pilger Lite.

Britain's weapons industries are highly valued by:

- UK Trade Unions whose jobs rely on these industries. Unionists are important constituents of the UK Labour Party

- UK House of Commons MPs value weapons factories being in their "constituencies" (electorates). Jobs, votes, political popularity.

- Many UK weapon's factories have/and do make weapons that defend Britain's independence.

Ah ! John , I just love to read your stories. They remind me of the fairy tales that my Mother told to me , on her knee.

"Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has said he believes the issue of Gibraltar's sovereignty is "settled" after suggestions Theresa May could resort to war to defend the territory."
Spain has no nuclear weapons to challenge the fortress of Gibraltar the central pillar of Britain's forward defence with clear waters to Russia's Black Sea. The Royal Spanish navy's aircraft carrier may be engaged with the Catalan conflict but has supply advantages when dealing with English gun-boats with the RN carriers not yet battle ready.

King Felipe VI has a better chance now.
"Britain is reportedly preparing for the possibility of war breaking out with North Korea as concerns rise that another provocative missile test could trigger a military response by the US. Among the plans disclosed by the Daily Mail is the deployment of the Navy's newest aircraft carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth, before it has undergone flight trials.

HMS Queen Elizabeth, which arrived at its home in Portsmouth in August after extensive sea trials, is not due to enter service until 2020. Last month, Sir Michael Fallon told the BBC that Britain was at risk from Pyongyang’s long-range nuclear missile programme.

“The US is fully entitled to defend its own territory, to defend its bases and to look after its people, but this involves us, London is closer to North Korea and its missiles than Los Angeles," he said. "
The RN launched Swordfish bi-planes which sank SMS Bismarck and probably can do the job without the new EMALS catapults due to long deck length.

Yes, Corbyn's agenda on domestic policies (e.g. the NHS and free tertiary education) will get him intensively pilloried by the UK media and ultimately overthrown by his party. But any departure from standard UK imperial foreign policy will get him killed, i.e. suiciding in a forest with two gunshots to the head or an air crash that an inquest will quickly rule as 'accidental causes' - no wonder he prefers British Rail.
