After fifty years of occupation, what's next: an open letter to President Mahmoud Abbas : Comments

To simply blame the Israeli government alone may be comforting to you, but unless you change your approach and strategy toward Israel, you will further prolong the occupation.

While sympathetic Alon, I fear that your entreaties, if ever read, will invariably fall on deaf ears, given neither Nethanyahu or Abbas are the puppet masters pulling their strings?

The only prospect of a peaceful resolution lays in an endlessly ramped up and ramped up again and again, commercial boycott?

Of concern is new developments and tension between, a Turkey backed Qatar and the Saudi alliance!

And given it escalates, and it could? May soon overshadow and endlessly complicate the stalemate that is the indefinitely stalled peace process, which can only ever end with a fully ratified and settled forever, two state solution!

That seems to be the popular consensus of the ordinary citizens on both side of this eternally extended, for political purpose, divide!?

When enough blood has flowed the blood letting will end? And the only must that seems in play here, Alon?

Racist Israel owes its existence to the vacuum hose it manages to insert into America's massive economic and military and diplomatic resources. The ground on which the Palestinians can seek the dismantlement of Israel is the USA. It is there that they need to seek allies to confront Israel's sponsors inside America. The struggle would need to be on nationalist grounds, not religious, given that Islam is an even worse blot on the face of the earth than Israel. To be credible, the goal of the Palestinian struggle for American hearts and minds would need to be a secular, inclusive Palestine in which genetic ancestry is totally excluded along with religion as a measure of worth of citizens.
