Lyle is being optimistic in thinking the infestation of sexual-perversion in sporting organisations might be the “the final over-reach”. Nasty, determined minorities out are of control in Australia. What is the difference between wanting something and having a right to it?

It seems the HRC decides that whatever minority sexualities want should be defined as a right. Even if it is a right how do we decide which rights should be acknowledged when there are competing rights?

In a democratic society we have as a principle that the majority should be favoured. Sexual minority’s themselves agree with this principle except it seems when it comes to their own rights. Either we give up this principle and accept the ensuing chaos or we stick to it and apply it to all situations where there are competing rights.

Sexual minorities have to accept that they are in a minority. This in no way de-values their sexuality. It is just a matter of fact. Other types of minority seem to accept this reality and can be reasonable about their rights.

What makes these people so repulsive is nothing to do with their sexuality and everything to do with their lack of adherence to basic principles of democracy which we all abide by.

The HRC mirrors this disdain for democratic principles which are in fact human rights. They are rights agreed to by all who live in a democracy.

I would have loved the chance to tackle some of the girls I went to school with, on the football field or anywhere else, for that matter.

What's the difference between an expressed right and your God given sexual bias? Everything! It's is like saying, expressing your, for you normality, is some sort of right? And covered by NORMAL human rights!

What's next? That breathing the same air on or off the field of sporting endevour is some sort of right?

We don't have a right to vilify anyone of a different race! Nor should we have a RIGHT to do so because of other difference!

It's not that long ago when mixed race marriage would have been illegal!

It's like some still believe in their tiny minds that a few people chose to be born different! Regardless of that difference be it race or natural sexual orientation! Choice has never ever been an option!

As far as I know there's no social engineering on the sporting field, save by those, ignorance personified, who still believe even now, that difference is fair game!

Bring on the next election! Which will no doubt be a binding plebiscite on us all!? And expect the party having a fair dinkum fair go policy on equality and inherently fair treatment on and off the sporting field to win in a veritable landslide!

Never mind of course that winning is everything competitive sport is itself a very potent form of social engineering. See for instance the book No Contest by Alfie Kohn.
They are also an expression of the cult of the body, and with overtones of fascism in large scale stadium events.
Meanwhile major sporting events are used to propagandize and glamorize all kinds of potentially harmful behaviors - alcohol,betting,junk food, and tobacco. Major televised sporting events are of course a huge (the biggest single) source of advertising revenue for the commercial TV networks.
