We'd been set the task to identify shared values or ideals embraced by our own faith traditions, which, if employed more widely by individuals, groups and governments to tackle issues, could have a real bearing on the progress of society.

So a couple of middle class religious eccentrics miraculously resolving their uncertainty about which house to buy has some deeper, special meaning that can bring about world peace and solve all our problems if only we follow Jesus and Mary Baker Eddy. Right.

What a joke.
You godbotherers hate each other more than you hate us athiests.
Its just ridiculous to say that you share anything. Let alone "spiritual values".
The only thing you share is an unverifiable belief in fantasy no better than believing in Superman or Santa Claus.

Religion has had its use by date expiry. We need a new religion if that is what it has to be called. And that is the religion of life. You do not bother me and I will not bother you.

May be that is where Islam is going wrong putting everybody in the same basket.

I do not want to know what a persons crutch in life is. If they are sociable that is enough to be friends.

Gratitude is certainly a missing link in society today, where the great giver is the social service department, sponsored by the taxpayer.
