The question is, should the date be changed?

Why don't we do this? Why don't we do that? Why the don't we just shut the heck up and show some respect for our country and our own culture. Both are the best in existence. Nothing needs changing. Certain people should grow up and stop wetting the bed.

Under Cherful's proposed system it would have to be changed every year because of how our calendar works. Let's say we designate Australia day as the 4th Friday in January. It would then have a range of dates between 22nd and 28th January inclusive, with the date changing every year. Occasionally it would fall on the 26th, but most years it wouldn't.
