Hysteria takes no prisoners and solves no problems : Comments

By John Slater, published 18/7/2016

Waleed went on to criticize Price's word choice because the semantic origins of hysterical meant women 'were irrational or incapable of being rational because they had ovaries.'

While it is common knowledge that domestic violence is more prolific in indigenous communities and in lower-socio-economic areas of our rural and metro regions, the fact remains that it also happens in ALL areas of society.

I agree that one of the biggest precursor to domestic violence is alcohol and/or drug abuse, but yet it isn't always a factor, so there IS more to the situations involved than just substance abuse.
Hence, it is entirely appropriate to call out anyone in the media spotlight who chooses to say stupid things about or to women that could be taken by other gullible men in society to somehow vindicate their need to disrespect and or commit violence to women.

' Most of the hysteria about hysteria could've been avoided if Price had clarified to Van that it was nothing to do with her ovaries.'

Yeah he just should of called her a rude hysterical woman. My wife has ovaries and was just as disgusted with this person knowing nothing about decency while ranting on like an animal.

runner,

"Yeah he just should of called her a rude hysterical woman."
No, that would've compounded the misunderstanding. He needed (and failed) to make it clear that it was unrelated to her being a woman.

"My wife has ovaries and was just as disgusted with this person knowing nothing about decency while ranting on like an animal."
Ranting on is not what animals do, and your wife's standards of decency appear to be unusual — there's nothng about what she said that most Australians would consider to be indecent.

It is just another form of mob aggression where women band together to attack a man for nothing more than poor handling of a personal exchange.

Price may not have been as calm and rational as he would have liked but drawing such a long bow between someone who puts a woman down and the problem of domestic violence shows how desperate some women are to paint any man as a member of a perpetually flawed gender. Instead of it just being about Badham and Price – two equally matched adults - it becomes an example of how men continually disrespect women and how such attitudes are at the basis of domestic violence.

She was just as aggressive as he was so if that is the hallmark of domestic violence why are not women as violent as men? Women are just as aggressive as men. They use aggression to try and solve problems with men, women and children so why do they not go on to be violent? Where is the connection?

It is about trying to make the man appear worse than he is because they do not know how to handle lack of respect other than to try and hurt the man. Most of them are unable to defend themselves and so they try to form a posse or co-opt the media to get back at the man. Most of these situations are personal issues between two adults and should be dealt with that way. There is no need for anyone else to be involved even if it takes place on television. It is whipped into a frenzy because those with agendas toward men get involved when there is no need to do so.

The response to such petty interactions is hysterical and all it does is show how lacking in skill or courage that women are who do not stand up and defend themselves

Phanto asks: why are not women as violent as men? Women are just as aggressive as men. They use aggression to try and solve problems with men, women and children so why do they not go on to be violent? Where is the connection?
It seems Australia doesn't bother with statistics regarding female violence against men, but in the USA...
More than 830,000 men fall victim to domestic violence every year, which means every 37.8 seconds, a man, in America, is the victim of domestic abuse. The numbers are not inconsequential and the frequency is far from insignificant.
Jan Brown, executive director and founder of the Domestic Abuse Helpline for Men had this to say, “domestic violence is not about size, gender, or strength. It’s about abuse, control, and power, and getting out of dangerous situations and getting help.
and...
‘A US Department of Justice study of murder in families contains some surprising information. An analysis of ten thousand cases showed that wives murder their husbands far more frequently than people realise, but are punished only about a third as severely. Forty percent of spousal murders are by women, and when it comes to killing children, mothers kill more often than fathers and are more likely to murder their boys.’

When mainstream media mention domestic violence, it’s always male violence against females. Why do they ignore the fact that female violence against men is rising at a faster rate than males against females? And why is there no questioning of the reasons for violence? ”

Wally Ally is a professional poser.

His comments and articles are politically correct drivel that studiously avoid any hard questions, and tell the lunatic left only what they want to hear.
