While it is common knowledge that domestic violence is more prolific in indigenous communities and in lower-socio-economic areas of our rural and metro regions, the fact remains that it also happens in ALL areas of society.

I agree that one of the biggest precursor to domestic violence is alcohol and/or drug abuse, but yet it isn't always a factor, so there IS more to the situations involved than just substance abuse.
Hence, it is entirely appropriate to call out anyone in the media spotlight who chooses to say stupid things about or to women that could be taken by other gullible men in society to somehow vindicate their need to disrespect and or commit violence to women.

Ranting on is not what animals do, and your wife's standards of decency appear to be unusual — there's nothng about what she said that most Australians would consider to be indecent.

It is just another form of mob aggression where women band together to attack a man for nothing more than poor handling of a personal exchange.

Price may not have been as calm and rational as he would have liked but drawing such a long bow between someone who puts a woman down and the problem of domestic violence shows how desperate some women are to paint any man as a member of a perpetually flawed gender. Instead of it just being about Badham and Price – two equally matched adults - it becomes an example of how men continually disrespect women and how such attitudes are at the basis of domestic violence.

It is about trying to make the man appear worse than he is because they do not know how to handle lack of respect other than to try and hurt the man. Most of them are unable to defend themselves and so they try to form a posse or co-opt the media to get back at the man. Most of these situations are personal issues between two adults and should be dealt with that way. There is no need for anyone else to be involved even if it takes place on television. It is whipped into a frenzy because those with agendas toward men get involved when there is no need to do so.

The response to such petty interactions is hysterical and all it does is show how lacking in skill or courage that women are who do not stand up and defend themselves
