Queensland budget 2016: Curtis Pitt’s reckoning day will come : Comments

There are very real dangers in raiding the super fund, particularly as it comes on top of the decision last year by Pitt to suspend contributions for at least five years.

All true and exposes a party probably not competent to hold a chook raffle, let alone control a multi billion dollar budget?

Having said that and given change and new bold approach is doable!

There's no place left for timidity, which is guaranteed to underpin our downfall completely!

Joh faced an even worse state of affairs? And reacted by eliminating death duties, we have something as equally intelligent at our disposal, and that is the simultaneous cancellation of stamp duties and payroll tax! Which could be offset by letting go of an army of bureaucrats we'd then no longer need! And the increased GST share we'd create, by releasing more rezoned urban land and moving massive population numbers north to the sunshine state.

Joh also had another card, which was to borrow as if it were going out of fashion to build dams and power stations! You know those bits of government owned infrastructure that earn billions over the, life of any such project. It's too easy!

Stand there, just don't do something!
