Given the similarities in parties, it really does not matter who wins the election. Either will increase the chaos politicians have brought upon Australia.

The biggest wave of disappointed Liberal supporters has come as a result of Malcolm Turnbull knifing Abbott. He got to be PM without doing the long yards as Tony Abbott did and winning an election to boot. What's more, Malcolm Turnbull's politics are seen as closer to the failed Rudd's than Liberal. He is a city trendy.

There is a general feeling that Malcolm Turnbull is more concerned about appearing 'progressive' (a hideous thought) for the media and could drop the ball at any time - on economic migrants for example and despite his firm assurances otherwise.

However the sleeper that could easily sink the LNP is the widespread fear of paying to see the doctor. Many thousands of people on fixed incomes or on benefits cannot do that and would be forced to suffer instead.

This article seems to be more about David Leyonhjelm doing some wishful thinking than true reality. Given the recent revelations that some large corporations, like Apple, were paying no tax in Australia despite earning huge amounts of money there does seem to be a wish by Australians that corporations pay their share.

What there does seem to be in Australia is a small number of very vocal commentators who would like to see Donald Trump as President of Australia (I am speaking figuratively rather than literally here, but there are certainly some who would like a Trump takeover) and Leyonhjelm seems to have confused himself that these are very influential people.

The Coalition however won't lose the funding from big corporates.
Let's face it David ,none of our parties work for the people. Bankers control the planet via their debt money creation system and all the pollies on the planet just fall in line. Even Jeremy Corbyn who had a brief flutter of courage against this system of total enslavement ,looks like relenting.

Not taking the perk is not going to stop it existing for others. The crime is the fact of it existing, not that some pollies claim on it. If some honest polly introduced a bill to abolish it then castigate and abuse all those who vote against it.
