A tale of two Malcolms : Comments

By David Leyonhjelm, published 5/4/2016

Malcolm was a popular Prime Minister at the outset. He had an air of confidence and a convincing manner, plus a belief in his own abilities.

David, Malcolm isn't a small government Liberal so it's not surprising that he isn't do things the way you like.

I think David you should consider moving to the US, perhaps the flyover states they have a world view that seems to align with yours.

Australians both left and right are for the most part lean towards large government.

Bring on the double dissolution election we will hopefully have a more representative Senate.

David as usual your blinkered and myopically focused analysis is way off the mark.

Malcolm hasn't changed his spots as a progressive conservative, which you, regardless of the misleading (liberal democrat) title of your party, are not.

Clearly the "new" Malcolm, is one constrained by the unusually active rambunctious far right, with some even threatening to leave the fold and emulate your fatuous overreach, by creating a far right leaning new party?

Put any leader in an ultra conservative ideological straight jacket and you will see a similar, if patently uncomfortable result!?

The only tale in evidence here is the tail (far right) trying to wag the dog!? Even to the point of creating disunity and snatching defeat from the jaws of electoral victory?

Turnbull was only 'popular' because he defrauded the public. And he will not "get his act together" because it is not an 'act': it is the real, shallow and incompetent Malcolm Turnbull we are seeing now.

Turnbull is a socialist, spending borrowed money like any any other socialist. He has removed all choice from Australian voters. The man is a disgrace, deserving an ignominious end to participation in public life.

Well may Leyonhjelm describe almost all fellow politicians as not as rightwing, greedy and insensitive as he.

This balding goanna only slithered through like a langud lizard drinking thanks to the undemocratic strangeness of Senate preference whispering.

Come the Big Double D (double dissolution) and the full Senate dump, he will be a richly deserved piece of history.

But will he earn the Parliamentary Super Pension?
