Is Turnbull Born to Rule? : Comments

By Everald Compton, published 8/1/2016

The issue is whether he can successfully assemble together his vast experience of life in law, money, journalism, politics and civic affairs to get the results of which he is clearly capable.

The Australian pension is the second lowest of any industrialized country, we are just above Korea in second last spot.
Turnbull is the best of a bad bunch, and no match for the Abbott sponsors. It just goes to show AU has more radicals than terrorism ever had. How could anybody represent Abbott after what he did. An election run on lies, he should be on demolition row.
He did say he would do anything to be PM, and he did just that. Why isn’t it a criminal offence. And he gets around saying he has more to give to politics. That is frightening, the terrorism continues.
If the far right had any care of Australia they would be condemning Abbott for what he done, and how he achieved the position to get there.
The next election will see changes I am positive about that, Turnbull’s front bench is in disarray from the remains of the team Abbott disgracing themselves. The AU public are being taken for mugs. Anybody that goes out backwards needs to be stripped of all entitlements for ever.
Australia can not go on being taken as fools, while our foremost representatives are acting in ways not appropriate for their position as AU parliamentary representatives

Sour grapes hang low on the vine, To low for sensible people to collect. There are always takers as rotten to the core salesmen indulge themselves in treachery.

Turnbull with his successes in life was born to rule, and why would he not be. He has far more IQ than the average bear, or other persons, so he is a natural choice as leader. We have had enough of persons deficient of any sort of IQ to be PM. The position calls for strong intelligent and forceful human being to be statesman like and represent AU on the world stage. If these qualities do not exist what would make you think that person should be considered for PM. That is old style AU where ockerism was alive and well and truly admired. The world and AU have changed, ockerism is now discouraged and needs to be buried.
Turnbull has two choices in his success or failure. He can arrange good policy with consultation that has community support and will be installed as PM for twenty years, or he can come up with policy that crucifies the working people of AU and loses his Job.
I have a good feeling about which way he will choose to go. With 579 company’s in AU with nil tax to pay, you can not burden the workers to foot any more tax, while we have 579 company’s paying nil.
We are a high earning country, and so is Germany, our lowest payd can not afford to lose any wages, any reductions must come from the top earners. We have to think smarter, and not attack the soft targets. Churches must be made self supporting and cut loose from the public purse. Scale back on overseas handouts, and say if you want something we will come and build it for you. Any aid to countries like Cambodia or NG will see no benefit from cash at all, goods and services.
There is nothing smart thinking can not overcome, Politicians with clear heads are less likely to make fools of themselves, that is worthy of thought.

It must be hard keeping the attention on Turnbull.

It wouldn't do to allow the cameras to swing towards Labor and the very smelly, very messy, links with the CFMEU and other unions.

Exactly what are Labor leader Willie Shorten and Greens Senator Richard Di Natale proposing to do to sever Party links with the CFMEU?

Kevin Rudd must be smiling cynically at Shorten's discomfiture, not knowing how to do anything better than continue to defend and protect the festering mess that Rudd to his credit tried to remove.

The election is drawing near. There is always the prospect of a double dissolution. Union corruption and links with labor and Greens will be one the agenda, Number 1 and rightly so!

What Everald and others have yet to realise is that Malcolm is Labor lite. His policies will be big-spending, big-taxing. Achieving budget surpluses and acting in the national interest will not figure prominently in his objectives.

He should win the House of Reps in the next election, but it appears likely that he will go backwards in the Senate, which will make for even more interesting times.
