How we were misled about Abyan's case : Comments

By Kellie Tranter, published 5/1/2016

Minister Dutton has used extreme yet ambiguous language to describe the intentions of those seeking to protect human rights only to be caught wrong-footed.

I am reminded of the Judge who presided over a case about the paternity of a child claimed to be Charlie Chaplins. Defence said on the blood types the child could not be Chaplins. The Judge said no we do not do things like this disallowed?
Lets have this lady and her unborn child tested and then if the paternity is obviously Nauruan she has a case but if Somali she still has a case of fraud and extortion before expulsion of course.
I cannot believe the sleazy ambulance chasers would not have had this done if they thought the case was genuine.
Thanks again to Ms Tranter for showing us where the law leads us today.

Could it be possible that the pregnancy was not as she claimed but was in fact consensual, then to gain public support claim something else when in Australia the refugee advocates tried to get a court injunction to keep her here.

All at taxpayer expense, I will back to Government on this one.

You say the people lied, don't forget the refugee advocates are just as good at lying.

Luke 10:25-37

25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

29 But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

Thanks Toni,

As an atheist, that's one of my favourite Christian lessons.

Given that Islam is a religion of peace, and that the Koran borrowed so much from early religious writings, I've been searching through it on-line to find any comparable stories. Nothing so far, except for verses on Muslims helping only Muslims. I suppose that's called 'community'.

The Samaritans were/are a sect related to early Judaism in what is now the northern part of the West Bank, Samaria, who look to Shechem, near Nablus, rather than Jerusalem. The point of the story is clearly to approve of helping someone who is not one of 'us'. Such stories seem to be missing from the Koran.

Cheers,

Joe

Of course the most likely probability is that Abyan was never raped. That she never initially reported it to the police or any of her friends, and then when she made a "report" to the police months later, it had plenty of factual errors.

So let's assume that Abyan had a fling, got knocked up, got her lawyers to get her shipped to Aus where she changed her mind, got shipped back to Nauru, where she changed it again costing the taxpayers a bundle.
