Europe divides over anti-Israeli labelling laws : Comments

By David Singer, published 23/12/2015

Hungary and Greece have broken ranks with the European Union in signalling they want nothing to do with the recently introduced EU labelling laws.

Yes, but if you were as equally worried about the trampled over human rights of the Palestinians, your article would have more credibility?

And perhaps some of the patently missing moral authority!

Truly Mr singer, as a devil's advocate/ultra clever wordsmith, you could make a case for the Nazis and their holocaust; given what seems to be being rolled out in the occupied territories (ghettos) looks very similar, with but two exceptions, no ovens, and the oppressed dispossessed people are fighting back.

Even from the razor wire enclosed "refugee camps"

Given the bloodless boycotts are having an effect!
Long may that continue and magnify.

And a better means of getting the intransigent recalcitrant Israeli P.M. and his hard line backers (who ought to be asked to work for a living, as well a serve in the armed force at the pointy end) to the negotiating table for a genuine and respected resolution; and just what the endless bblodletting calls for?

And better than the random acts of violence against the innocent which seems to have replaced it?

As for the aforementioned democracies that are in opposition?

Well history abounds with examples where forty pieces of silver was enough to soothe many a troubled conscience!

The author must believe that telling the same lie a sufficient number of times would turn it into truth:

There are NO laws or regulations regarding Jewish products and to the best of my knowledge nothing of the sort was ever even hinted or suggested by the European Union.

Check the interpretive notice yourself - the word "Jew" or any of its derivatives does not appear there even once.

If a Muslim, Druze or Christian Israeli was to operate their business from the West Bank, then the exact same regulations would apply to them.

In any case, these regulations are not "anti" but PRO-Israeli, aimed at helping Israelis to finally end the 1967 "six-day" war, shake off their occupation and return home.

There are many Israelis who are economic migrants, who were forced to settle in the West Bank and Eastern Jerusalem by economic hardship and in contravention of their conscience, as the government offered them interest-free mortgages on houses and units far larger and better than what they could afford in Israel and where they could have enough space to raise their children. Many of those still try to save in hope that one day they may have enough money to repatriate and at least be able to retire in Israel.

On with this pressure - to save Israel from the hands of extreme Jewish sects!

Hungary is one courageous nation.
Now it rejects the EU boycott of Israel.
Earlier it opposed and remains opposed to the massive non-Christian immigration without commensurate integration encouraged and financed
by the EU.

Bruxelles can learn a great deal from Budapest.

Next, Jewish labeling laws. How about something up to date such as a Menorah in a tasteful lime green on all outer clothing?

Wide of the mark yet again.

The labelling is required of products made by Jews who are the sole occupants of the settlements that has got the European Union so incensed.

Not one Jew lived there between 1948-1967 - all were driven out after decades of occupation by six invading Arab armies - yet no Palestinian State was created in those 19 years.

You should keep to your promise of not reading my articles any more.

Guess you are unaware the Czech Republic has also opted out of these racist laws and the US Congress is attacking them as well.

The "evil apartheid theocracy" rests in the European Union god-unto-itself and Jew-hating people like you.

This is just the latest in a series of on- going diplomatic gaffes that now sees Europe reeling from over a million illegal Moslem immigrants in 2015 ready to relabel Europe itself.

Dear David,

<<The labelling is required of products made by Jews who are the sole occupants>>

Then show me where this is written!

I personally happen to know an Arab-Muslim (modern and moderate) family who became Israeli citizens and live in a Jewish neighbourhood of Eastern Jerusalem. These labelling guidelines apply to them in exactly the same way!

Or show me otherwise...
