Lighting (LED, decent down lights now available at a fair price), radio, kitchen appliances (excl kettle), fans, mowers, power tools, iPads, electric blankets and so on are all trivial.
All this almost religious, existential angst displays no understanding. Want to save power?
1. Boil the right amount in the kettle when needed. (Most fill it with a litre and use it to make maybe 2 cups, 1/2 litre.)
2. Ensure best lagging on hot water pipes and set temperature to 50.
3. Maximum spin in the washer, and AIR dry on a thicker, plastic hanger; if essential use the Dryer on a cool setting. (Dryers destroy clothes so the cost is energy and damage.)
4. Get a new fridge, tv, washer as appropriate.
