Russia demands American capitulation in return for help to eradicate Islamic State : Comments

By David Singer, published 9/6/2015

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has called on America to end its attempt to remove Syria's President Assad from power in return for Russia's co-operation to militarily confront Islamic State.

Obama doesn't seem to be serious about getting rid of ISIS, anyway. Having just read the restrictions this most stupid (or evil) of presidents has placed on his troops attempting to engage and destroy the terrorists, I believe that ISIS will continue to flourish, thanks to the so-called leader of the free world.

Russian demands for almost anything ought to be met with a hypothetical knuckle sandwich!

At least until it stops interfering in its neighbor's territories and sends its surface to air missiles back to inventory; and its troops back to the barracks where they belong!

JFK wouldn't have stood for their crap; or indeed, criminal cartels merely masquerading as bona fide capitalists, or peacemakers!

None of their verbal agreements are worth the paper they're written on!

Assad should've been removed when he used chemical weapons against Syrians, but Russia prevented any action. Abandoning the Free Syrians now would make things even worse, and would probably drive many of them to ISIL because it would be the only option left.

Great article

Israel, being righteous, has many shared interests with Syria's Assad. Yes Assad has his personal shortcomings but ISIS is a threat to Israel while Israel can live with Assad's murderous Syria.

It would clearly be of benefit to Israel if Russian troops (in UN Blue) fought alongside Assad, Hezbollah and Iranian advisers in Syria. They could jointly push ISIS up to the very borders of Israel.

It is very valient of everyone to try and restore sanity to the madhouse.
Isn't it time to accept that with their genetic handicap we should
just erect a "Berlin Wall" around the asylum and let no one in or out.

Those in "the west" that are fanatical could be allowed in.
For those that decide to stay outside they could have imposed a legal
ban on cousin marriage. A few such generations may help.

The PC retroprogressive will be horrified at my suggestion but isn't
it starting to look like the only possible solution ?
Isn't 1400 years long enough to try the other solutions ?

I'm not sure what bothers me more.. honestly
The article or the responses..

ttbn,
Obama isnt trying to get rid of ISIS.
They are his proxy army funded by his ally Saudi Arabia to get rid of Assad.
Israel even provides medical care to ISIS fighters.

Rhrosty,
Russia didn't start the conflict in Ukraine.
You ppl must have bad memories, it was only a year or so back.
Ukraine was to make a treaty with the EU but it backed out in favor of a better deal from Russia at the last minute.
It was then that the Maidan occurred, instigated by George Soros to remove Yanukovych and start the conflict.

Aidan,
Assad never used chemical weapons on his own people.
This was a false flag.

Plantagenet,
Israel, Righteous??
Maybe we should remember the USS Liberty, (since it happened 48yrs ago yesterday) or the Lavon affair.
Maybe how it placed rockets on timers in Lebanon to fire back into Israel during conflicts there.
And Aiden you should look at these if you don't know what a false flag is.
Look at these things then maybe you will understand how Israel operates.
They are quick to make sure we never forget WW2 but they don't want you to know about that.

Israel wants an external threat.
Look up the Greater Israel project.
Israel doesn't want peace with the Palestinians.
Israel wants Palestine... and probably the rest of the M/E too.

Right now they are fighting BDS and trying to stop the UN from adding them to a list of nations that commit atrocities upon children during war, which they should be on.

Armchair,

Assad's false flag operations (killing Syrians and blaming others) are what sparked the Syrian civil war in the first place. Considering that opposition to these false flag operations was the Free Syrian Army's raison d'être, the idea that they could launch one of their own to fram Assad is not credible.

Or are you suggesting it was someone else? If so, who?

As for Ukraine, it would not have developed into full war if Russia had not given the rebels military backing.

Armchair be fair

By "righteous" ye were caught in my snare.

I was being sarcastic. Please note I said "Israel can live with Assad's murderous Syria."

There, there.

Aidan,
"Pro-democracy protests erupted in March 2011 in the southern city of Deraa after the arrest and torture of some teenagers who painted revolutionary slogans on a school wall. After security forces opened fire on demonstrators, killing several, more took to the streets."

I'd be seriously surprised if foreign provocateurs weren't helping to instigate the protests on behalf of the US or Saudi Arabia.

Chemical attacks didn't come till later.
We can agree to disagree but my understanding is that they were a false flag attack designed to allow intervention and put US boots on the ground to topple Assad.

The attack on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya had much to do with the US covertly providing arms to the so-called moderate Syrian rebels, who were in fact just foreign paid mercenaries.

Plantagenet, sorry I misunderstood you.
But I think ISIS and Al Qaeda are products of Saudi, Israeli and US intelligence agencies.
And currently the only objective is to get rid of Assad, (and break Iraq into pieces).
They don't want Iran or Russia's help fighting ISIS because they support Assad.

- I know I have different opinions to others, but I don't mean to offend anyone including the author whom is pro-Israel.
I'm entitled to my own opinions and beliefs.

Interested in your generalised unsubstantiated comment:
"About the author? At least we can all agree he has his heart in the wrong place."

Care to elaborate?

Yes David

1. Your articles are always from the perspective of Israel (not Australia).

2. Even within your narror Israeli perspective you stick obsessively to the rightwing ruling Likud Party line

3. You never give a little ground or compromise. If you said that Israel could have done things better and Netanyahu is not perfect, you would appear more a well-balanced writer.

In response to your numbered paragraphs:

1. My articles usually analyse some important political event relating to the "two State solution" and more lately "Islamic State". Why would you expect me to write on such developments solely from Australia's perspective? Does Greg Sheridan?

I have for a long time taken the view that the "two-state solution" laid down by Oslo and the Bush Road Map was doomed to failure and events over the last 20 years confirm that my opinion expressed on so many occasions has been proved correct.

Islamic State is a threat to international peace and security and can only be effectively countered by armed military action taken under article 42 of the UN Charter by the Security Council. I have been critical of the ineffectivness of the Ameican led coalition which includes Australia.

2.I do not obseesively follow Israel's right wing ruling party line. My bio on OLO discloses that I am Convenor of Jordan is Palestine International - an organisation calling for sovereignty of the West Bank and Gaza to be allocated between Israel and Jordan as the two successor States to the Mandate for Palestine. I haven't heard Netanyahu proposing this solution. Have you?

3. I do not give ground to anonymous Jew haters who use OLO to denigrate Jews and delegimize the right of the Jewish people to national self-determination as laid down in the Mandate for Palestine and article 80 of the UN Charter.

These Jew-haters deliberately choose not to comment critically on the subject matter of my articles - focusing instead on obsessively repeating ad nauseum a string of unsubstantiated generalized comments demeaning the Jewish State and Jews.
They do not merit and will not get a reply from me.

Israel is not perfect - nor is its Government. Is there any country in the world that is? It is one thing to criticise a Government - an entirely different thing to call for that country to be wiped off the map for pursuing this or that policy. Can you name another country which is subjected to such despicable attacks?

Hi David

Its difficult to know how to respond. There are indeed endemic issues of too many OLO commenters being bitter, twisted, anti-Semitic – having nothing to contribute but continuing prejudice.

So its very true:

“These Jew-haters deliberately choose not to comment critically on the subject matter of my articles - focusing instead on obsessively repeating ad nauseum a string of unsubstantiated generalized comments demeaning the Jewish State and Jews.”

I think a thing to attract positive comments and support from the moderate readership is more of “Israel is not perfect - nor is its Government.”

This involves a risk of criticism but there is nothing like the appearance of balance to sway a readership.

Regards

Pete

Your comments are appreciated.

OLO Jew-haters deny that Jews have the legal right to
self- determination in 22% of Mandatory Palestine as promulgated by:

1. the League of Nations in 1922 unanimously endorsing the terms of the Mandate for Palestine following decisions taken at the San Remo Conference and the Treaty of Sevres in 1920
2. the subsequent decision of Great Britain in 1923 granting Arab self-determination in 78% of Mandate Palestine
3. The Peel Commission findings
4 the United Nations inserting article 80 in the UN Charter
5. The 1947 UN partition Resolution recommending partition into a Jewish State and an Arab state

These recalcitrant Jew haters side with those presently governing the Palestinian Arabs - the PLO and Hamas - who want no truck with Jews having any League of Nations and UN sanctioned Jewish State.

The modus operandi of these Palestinian Arabs' representatives is clearly stated:

1.Everything decided under the Mandate and all events since then are null and void.
2. the land of Palestine has been an Islamic Waqf throughout the generations and until the Day of Resurrection, no one can renounce it or part of it, or abandon it or part of it.

OLO Jew-haters are silent on such racist and apartheid pronouncements - but glibly - and falsely - use the words "racist" and "apartheid" to denigrate and delegitimze Israel.

Can there ever be any hope of peace whilst the Palestinian Arabs remain captive to these governing entities who openly flout well established principles of international law?

I still believe some resolution on the sovereignty of the West Bank can be achieved by Israel and Jordan - but never with the PLO and Hamas.

The Jew haters do not want to discuss these issues mentioned in so many of my articles.

That is why they resort to personal abuse and back the demands of the PLO and Hamas as they toss international law out the window and bemoan what they falsely claim are breaches of international law by Israel.

Call on these anonymous Jew-haters to show some balance if you are really serious.

Hi David

Yes one can even go further and say OLO's anti-Semites are in league with oil financed Islamic interests.

Oil finances much of the anti-Isreal push. Oil pays for much of the Islamic terrorism and their weapons.

These OLO anti-Semites are political Muslim converts at heart.

OLO's Jew-haters are in a league of their own - anonymous Australian citizens who do not wish to see the Jewish people retain their legally sanctioned national Jewish homeland in an area of land about one third the size of Tasmania - preferring instead to support those 20 hostile Arab States that confront Israel, seek its extinction and replacement with another Arab state and refuse to have diplomatic relations with Israel.

Yes oil money is no doubt financing the fanning of this Jew-hatred - but so is money pouring into Israel from American and European Foundations to finance Non-Government Organizations hostile to the Jewish State.

This Jew-hating phenomenon goes back centuries as Psalm 83 tells us:
"God, do not seem to be asleep!
Do not remain quiet and do nothing, God!
For look, your enemies are (all) doing something.
The people that hate you are getting ready (to fight you).
They are making clever *plans against your people.
They are deciding together what to do with those people that you love.
They are saying, "Come on, we will destroy their country.
Then nobody will ever remember the name of Israel".
They are deciding together what to do.
They are agreeing to do something against you.

Throughout the following centuries Jew-haters have never lost their belief in ridding the world of every single Jew. They have failed.

As they once again intensify their attacks so do we witness the horrific destruction of their own countries - Syria, Libya, Yemen, Iraq with Lebanon and Jordan under direct threat.

All of this because the PLO wants every square metre of the West Bank and Gaza - an area that would fit into Tasmania twelve times.

The OLO Jew-haters cheer on the PLO and Hamas in their intransigent stance - saying nothing about their unfortunate Arab constituents who have been refused any say in their future for the last 10 years.

The OLO Jew-haters have become totally consumed in their own hatred. How they can look at themselves in the mirror is beyond my comprehension.

It’s a tired weapon of racial or religious supremacists to claim victimhood and whine about the world rejecting their supremacist demands for special privileges at others’ expense.

We see it with Moslems who bleat about being “isolated” when decent people brush aside their supremacism and shun them and their supremacist claims.

We saw it with German supremacists who bleated about being made to pay for the results of their aggression. Hitler proclaimed boldly that Germans were “special” and entitled to dispossess Untermenschen to grab their territory.

And we see it with Zionists like David Singer, who can’t abide resistance to the supremacist land grab in Palestine and to the demands to honour colonialist carve-ups of the land as if these foreign deals had some sort of moral authority.

To cover their arrogant supremacism they invent a language to duck behind.

Moslems who brook no slight to their ambitions to enslave the “kafirs” (and one another) go on, libellously, about “bigotry”, “racism”, “Islamophobia”.

For a masterpiece of victim-playing by German supremacists through their chosen Führer see his speech to the Reichstag on the eve of Germany’s Drang nach Osten (it’s a download): http://www.germanvictims.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/1939_09_01-HitlerPoland_returning-fireAE.pdf

On OLO we see only a small, isolated voice for Moslem or German supremacism, but we see a steady stream of racist claims from one or two peddlers of Jewish supremacism. The victimhood bleat comes out as the libellous cries of “antisemitism” or “Jew-hatred”. Cop the overlord claims or be libelled as a “Jew-hater”. That fraud has long lost its power to shut down opposition.

I am surprised that Plantagenet, who adopts a pen-name steeped in history, could have forgotten so much recent history as to believe that recalling it is evidence of a mental problem requiring medication. Step by step: Adolf Hitler pitched his “Kampf” to winning the support of German supremacists – scum who believed Germans had an inborn right to invade other countries for “Lebensraum”, killing the inhabitants in millions and enslaving the survivors. Evidence that German supremacists regarded (chose) him as their leader? How about the wildly enthusiastic “Sieg heiling” at the massive street rallies? How about their voluntary participation in the Lebensraum grab? How about their vigilance in hunting down resistors in their conquered lands? When Hitler whined to the Reichstag in September 1939 about the raw deal Poland inflicted on Germany by not yielding to his demands he was the voice of every arrogant racist in Germany. The medication one would need to forget the years-long orgy of supremacist criminality interlaced with “Heil Hitlers” would be enough methamphetamine to destroy your brain.

David Singer of course is no surprise. On cue he again upheld my final paragraph word for word

I didn’t think I’d need to spell out the sequence that made it necessary to explain why the comment: “Scattered thoughts like ‘German supremacists through their chosen Führer’ indicate need for increased medical help” required a reminder of the crimes which so scarred the lives of decent people worldwide that they would need to lose their minds to forget them.

The context lay in previous comments noting that the contemptible supremacism (as men born to rule) of Nazis, Islamists and Zionists followed a common pattern of playing the victim while demanding acceptance as rightful overlords

Yep, and the Chinese rulers, and the Church of Rome (usually confused with Christians), and the Stalinists etc etc. Nazis, Islamists and Zionists are a reasonable illustrative trio, the first threatening the world in the 1900s, the second for 1400 years but back on the rampage today, and the third holding the world to ransom over the past 70 years or so, demanding that the nations (us) risk their people in a possible world war to protect its precarious land conquests.

Common among the Nazis, Islamists and Zionists is that they all demand submission to those uniquely, because of their shared identity, entitled to rule over others.
