Journalists and social media: a volatile employment mix : Comments

By Brett Wilson, published 28/5/2015

There's no doubt employers now have little tolerance for staff using their social media to badmouth the business or post comments that reflect badly on the business. Should journalists be an exception?

No, speak your piece! But only if it's factual and can be properly validated!

But then it would be reporting and not badmouthing, by the very opinionated/raconteur?

However, on the plus side, if you and your boss tend to always agree, then one of you is clearly redundant!

Often I have seen on many articles on OLO, journalists articles that are very opinionated and often biased. Anyone can do that but then can become slanderous or just look stupid. Articles presented to the public must represent the facts, then opinions can be formed.
