Israel teeters on cusp of security suicide : Comments

By David Singer, published 18/3/2015

With 14% of the voters still undecided they could re-elect Netanyahu again, figuring out that improvements in economic and social justice conditions aren't worth a shekel if you are not alive to enjoy their undeniable benefits.

Dear David,

<<I thought it was the ballot box - not the womb - that produced Netanyahu's victory.>>

Those voters had to get to the ballot box from somewhere - and it wasn't from outer space...

Both Hamas and sections of the Israeli "Right" openly admit using the womb as a weapon.

<<Have you ever written anywhere to pray for an end to this carnage?>>

You do seem to enjoy rubbing salt into other people's wounds.

It's only during the biblical end-of-days that the tiger will change its spots: for me those Syrians are as foreign as tigers in the wild who act according to their nature and with which I have no special relationship, whereas the Israelis I have personally known before the 1967 war and I have known them after and I can see the tragic difference. It is reasonable to pray for someone who has once been well to be well again.

Your "womb concept" is pretty bizarre.

Are you seeking to deny citizens of any State anywhere the right to vote - or are your comments limited to Israel and Gaza?

What about the poor Gazan and West Bank Arabs who haven't had a vote for 9 years - being ruled by a "president" in the 11th year of a four year term? Is that the kind of place you would like to live in - that you would like Israel to be?

You state:
"... the Israelis I have personally known before the 1967 war and I have known them after and I can see the tragic difference..."

Care to elaborate on the"tragic difference"?
