'Don't write crap': the Gillard government and historical revisionism : Comments

By Alexander Morgan, published 22/9/2014

Will these histories, along with future academic texts, be kinder to Gillard than the Australian population was during her three years and three days in power?

Gillard's greatest achievement was to eclipse Whitlam as Australia's worst Prime Minister, that's it.

The only true comment that I can fairly make, apropos Ms GILLARD and her peculiar style of Prime Ministership - She was by far the worst political leader this country has ever seen in my living memory, and I'm seventy five years of age.

o sung wu,
Not only that but also the most moronous supporters. The worst part ? The supporters are still around continuing to destabilise anything that makes sense.

You are so so correct INDIVIDUAL, and as you quite rightly say, her supporters are still out there and wilfully wrecking just about everything the LNP are trying to do. Not much point winning an election when you've got these lunatic Greens, and other loose cannons in the Senate, the likes of that hatred filled WILKIE Ind., who's so smitten with feelings of loathing and revenge he's do anything to injure the LNP brand. Some of my friends have said, he should've been charged with.......? I'll let it go for the moment, as I've no wish to be confronted with a libellous writ at my tender age ?

Speaking of others within the Senate who are great 'spoilers' for good government, many of whom have extreme difficulty trying to remain perspicuous and reasonably compos mentis, whenever parliament is sitting, what's her name INDIVIDUAL ? ...the 'Palmer United Party' lady, she really struggles to remain relevant and stable ? She wants to find a husband apparently, according to an ABC Radio interview, but she does have some rather unusual demands in the genitalia region ? Sounds like she's just the deal for a 'thinking Senator' ? God help us all, what a 'plurry' mess !

Given the way history looks at the achievements of the Whitlam Government: socialised medicine, ending the involvement in Vietnam, cutting university tuition, ending the draft, and a host more that have had a profound influence on the way Australia operates today, they seem happy to forget the dysfunctional way the Government operated.

McMahon by comparison is remembered solely for Sonia and losing an election.

I rather suspect that history will be kinder to the Gillard Government than the press was during its term

Agronomist if the press are kinder to Gillard in future, it will only be because like this author, they are blinded by their left leaning politics.
