Islam at its strongest was not capable of taking over Europe at its weakest.

There is no need for western intervention to hold Islam back. They will do it themselves because
a) of their divisive sectarian hatred
b) of their backwardness towards the world of ideas, and

Our banking system puts billions on this planet via corrupting Govts into debt and extracting cheap labour ,energy and resources as payment.

We sold off 4 state Govt banks and the Commonwealth and now have Govt debt of half our GDP. Russia and China have Govt Banks,state owned enterprises and these are the last big prizes that our Corporate elites yearn to conquer and bring in their New World Order of fascism.

I think that the best thing that the USA could do, would be to sell ammunition to both sides and let them kill each other off. Keep stoking the fire. If they are busy shooting at each other than they will leave us alone for a while.

Hopefully, the thousands of western Muslims now fighting for our enemies would get killed off too. This would be of great economic benefit for western countries, as most of these Jihadis seem to be on the Disability Support Pension. Of course, Arjay will scream about that, because he is probably going to lose a few of his brothers and cousins.

And there is nothing like a few mass executions to give our tolerance fanatics pause for thought. It can hardly be called "Islamophobia" when they really are trying to kill you, and have no compunction at all of mass murdering each other in the name of Allah. Multiculturalism, anyone? It's funny how the Brits are getting the blame by the left for "not thinking about ethnic territorial divisions when they created Iraq." The British Left are still not thinking about them because they are causing the same ethnic divisions in their own country with their stupid immigration and refugee policies. Multiculturalism is a white, left wing persons concept. The Arabs obviously don't want a bar of it.

I think that this is the most wonderful development ever. The Roman emperor Tiberius once quipped that the Germans were not worth civilising, and the Yanks are probably coming around to that conclusion about the Arabs. Of course, the yanks are stupid providing the Egyptians, Pakis and Iraqi's with F-16's and M1A1 Abrams tanks, after all, the Romans were stupid enough to let Alaric and his Goths settle in Roman lands, but they were not stupid enough to provide Alaric and his mates with swords and armour.
