Our child protection policy is a legacy of the stolen generation scandal. It is political correctness gone crazy. On the one hand, we have thousands of children being passed around between foster families for years at great expense to the taxpayer and to the detriment of young lives. On the other hand, we have childless people who would make wonderful parents waiting for the opportunity. In the middle we have the policy makers, determined that these two groups never meet so that a particular philosophy may be enacted.

This is not madness - this is deliberate cruelty!

The ones who matter most, are treated literally as sub-humans.

The choice whom to live with and whom to be representing them, should not be denied from any child from the moment they are able to express their wish clearly and unambiguously.

Once a child states unambiguously that they want to stay with certain parents, be they his/her natural parents or otherwise and once those parents accept this offer, then that's the end of the story and so it should remain (unless of course the child changes his/her mind and states otherwise later).

This whole article is political and ignores the inherent natural freedom of the child.

The child fostering and adoption process remains bigoted and racist, this time blaming our "Stolen Generation" for this scandal.

The "Stolen Generations" were not created for racial reasons, they were created by faulty, inhumane, and at times racist, views of motherhood and parenting.

Racist colour filters still blind and corrupt authorities, thus those agencies sub-contracted to actually do the case-work.

Some relations retain their children when they should be fostered out.

Some relations fostered out, were fostered out to complete strangers when suitable relations who expressed interest in being the carers, failed the departments color filter test so were not contacted further for consideration.

Some relations informally fostered out through relationship arrangements, fail departmental colour filter tests, and they live again with fear a knock on door will be followed with those infamous words: "we are from the government and we are hear to help you and the children"

Yes, have heard it all before...
