That research surprised me. I had been thinking that seniors might be allowed to consume MJ because it offered a cheap alternative to drugs and could be grown at home (limit 6 plants and 30 grams for private use). As well, there was the prospect of legal use cutting out a money supply to criminal gangs, with the spin-off that the strong hydroponic stuff (that gets smuggled in boogie boards) would be reduced.

I'd add though that I have no personal experience and was only going by published reports.

However as Bazz commented, a drug that persists for so long in the system presents a whole new range of serious risks.

Wise to wait for more research.

Legalisation won't stop the criminals, they will just switch to something else.
There is no end of alternatives and stupid people who will try them.
