Many ‘charities’ these days are thriving businesses, with highly paid administrators. Long gone are the street stalls and church bazaars that raised money with the hard work and good hearts of volunteers.

I wonder if the charity businesses are ever called upon to demonstrate how the money that people give them, without much thought, has had a practical, visible effect on the people purportedly targeted for charity. Charities, like foreign aid, are booming; the more you give, the more they want; and, outwardly at least, there doesn’t seem to be much improvement in the charity cases themselves.

Not at all, they just have to fly under the radar. I know dozens of people doing these very things quietly, helping out in places all over the World. They just have no interest in spending money on accountants, lawyers and other rent seekers instead of helping people. We pay all our expenses ourselves and fund raise all the time, we're careful about the language we use and are upfront with people about our "legal" status. We even went to a conference (at our expense) to find out how we might better comply, they lady running it said just keep doing what you're doing. She new 100's of people doing the same thing.

good old socialism where greedy Governments who can't control spending want to take more tax from charities who save the tax payers millions. Thankfully the gw fraud department is gone or going, get rid of all the racist apartied departments, get rid of all the Green schemes lining pockets of false prophets, get rid of the overpaid taxpayer funded ABC propagandist and get rid of the ACNC. Maybe then we can up our refugee intake.

Why abolish the ACNC? To date many involved in 'not for profit charities' have been proven fraudulent, nearly 200 in the 'watchdogs' year of operation. The ACNC as of last week, were investigating 55 charges of theft and corruption among 'non for profit organizations'

Reportedly the Catholic charities were 'bitterly opposed to the commission and feared the damaging red tape'.

Who is applauding Kevin Andrews decision to discard those revealing the crooks profiteering from 'charities'?

Why haven't they established some charity police yet ? Too much money involved perhaps ?

Why are threads so easily killed off with just a small dose of truth ? It's no fun.
