A grab for more corporate power: the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement : Comments

The TPPA is not only about trade. The United States, on behalf of its major industries, wants to change Australian law in many areas of domestic policy.

The TPP will just mean more enslavement for us. Stop voting for the two major parties since they are owned by these corporate interests.

Yes, another example of what could happen here in the land of Oz is now happening in Costa Rica where the Costa Rican government is being sued for one billion dollars by the Infinito mining company, for "loss or earnings".

Thanks, John, for alerting us to yet more screwing of the world by the U.S.

The are many on OLO who think the sun shines out of America and who are willfully blind to its manipulative, duplicitous, imperialist, warmongering side.

And given that most of our politicians are under America's wicked spell we are easy prey for the world's biggest predator which is trying to gain world domination. What it can't achieve by military force it will do by cunning, even fraudulent negotiation.

The U.S. manipulates friend and foe alike.

I hope the TPP does not come to pass. At least not in the form currently envisaged.

However I do have a serious question. If Japan, Malaysia and Singapore sign up can Australia afford to stay out? I am afraid we may reach the point where joining is the least worst option.
