Here is an interesting section from "Aljazeera" written by Andrew Thomas.

"An argument often made by politicians in Australia is that many "asylum-seekers" are not actually seeking asylum from persecution but rather from poverty, that they are economic migrants rather than genuine refugees.

Mehak - to my surprise - agrees. Most of those on the boat he took to Australia, he thinks, were planning to give false accounts of their lives in order to qualify for refugee status.

He doesn't think any of them deserved it."

Mehak is a refugee from Afghanistan.

Clarrie why not save us all your rubbish and just say you do not like Tony Abbott?
David G same for you instead of trying to be smart and looking an insulting fool just say you do not like Abbott?
It's delicious that Tony is now PM and there is nothing either of you can do until the next election. Then you will both have to huff and puff some more haha!
These illegals go through umpteen countries to get on our welfare gravy train and don't they know how to whinge! If we are so terrible they can stay in Indonesia or Malaysia.

In the mean time Tony Terrific is becoming more popular than ever and the labor fools led by Power Bill as unpopular as they ever have been.

I thought the article a sad reflection of the lack of policy and the usual personality attack politics of the shallow lefties.

Something that has led labor and the socialists to the edge of the political abyss. Such attitudes, if they continue, will see them all fall into that particular hell. And good riddance.

I would have voted for Tony Abbott if he had promised to sink the damn boats!

Most of the asylum seekers are fleeing hell-holes, seeking a better life in Australia. What they do not realize is that they are carriers of the virus that is destroying their country of origin, the virus of Islam. They do not understand that the reason Australia is a nice place to live, is mainly due to the absence of Islam.

Do a Google search of "Islam in Europe" to see what our probable future in Australia is, as the intolerance of Islam shows up more and more in the second and third generation of immigrants. Europe is probably lost, as non-integration is one of the major requirements in the Koran - the rest of us are inferior, and must eventually convert, be enslaved, or killed. These are the rules from Allah, and are not negotiable.

When the Black Death ravaged Europe in the 11th and 12th centuries, many cities closed their gates to all comers, as a protective measure. I realize that this option is not available to us, but at the very least we should be showing more concern.
