Along with the nature of the Chinese proxy-misgovernment of Sri Lanka, something that seems to have escaped attention is that the Tamil struggle was for the right of a people to self-determination. Wasn't there a war fought, 1939-1945, for the right of peoples to self-determination in their own land? Did anything more come out of that war than a pious UN Declaration so hedged in with get-out clauses as to be no more than a dead letter?

As Tamils have been severely oppressed, with many pogroms, by the Sinhalese since the British left there is nothing that would bring Tamils flooding in from India. The people of Poland and a slew of countries to the east, and a number of countries to the west, did not have self-determination for five years while their homeland was infested by German invaders. They regained self-determination after five years of devastating war against the jackals that had poured over their borders, though it was incomplete until another bunch of occupiers had gone (without seeking to settle their land as far as I know). The purpose of the German Drang nach Osten was to seize territory outside their own homeland to terrorise and expel the inhabitants, replacing them with Germans, as the Sinhalese criminals have done in Tamil territory and incidentally as the Zionists have done in Palestine.

The self-determination of peoples refers to self-determination on their own land, where they were born or invited to stay, not on other people’s.

The story of the Tamils mirrors closely the story of 10,000 other racial and religious groups throughout Asia and Africa. They are not happy with their circumstances and they accuse their neighbours of treating them badly. Most of those groups will tell you they were the original inhabitants of the land, and everyone of them will tell you about “pogroms” they’ve had to endure.

The only difference is the Tamil’s from Sri Lanka (and the Tamils from INDIA TOO!, for that matter) know that if they boat to Australia and cry “we are refugees from Sri Lanka”, there is every likelihood they will end up with social welfare, public housing, access to a good education system and funded health. What struggling merchant in northern Sri Lanka or poor rice farmer in Tamil Nadu would not be tempted!

I don't trust people who support Third World immigration into our country, I view them as hostile to the interests of my ethnic group, they in turn behave exactly as though they are a superior ethnic group and will openly call for all "Bogans" or "Racists" to be ethnically cleansed.
