How does an extremely wealthy midget with two potentially dangerous neighbors keep them from making an unwelcomed visit? Naturally, you have someone bigger and tougher to protect you.

Hi Felix,

Have you cosidered the impact of the historical Tribal ties betweem Qatar and Saudi Arabia? Or the adherence to the common Wahhabism. Even though the strain of Wahhabism in Qatar is less strident than that in Saudi Arabia it remains a common bond.

The effect of these primary bonds, in historical inter-Arab familial, religious and cultural relationships, may be much more sigificant than mere, from an Arab perspective, discordant economic issues.
