Key stakeholders who are interested in contributing to the preservation of peace, human rights and development in Sri Lanka may want to take a closer look at the political solution and model that was developed in the Republic of Macedonia in 2001.

The Macedonian state worked in partnership with key stakeholders and exchanged power and jobs for peace. Macedonian gave its ethnic Albanians better human rights, job opportunities and more seats in Assembly than they enjoy anywhere else in Europe or the world. I only wish my fellow Macedonians living un-recognised and supressed in the Hellenic Republic, Bulgaria and Albania had the same rights as the Albanians have in Macedonia.
