It wasn't just Labor but perhaps the world, that Rudd treated with contempt.

Is Rudd and/or Gillard’s behaviour the disease or the symptom of the disease? Whether Rudd is a fool and Gillard a liar a change in either or replacement of both will lead to what outcome? The system will not be fixed; it remains broken after the leadership ballot.

Greek philosophy can be taken as answering the questions: what is my nature; what is the nature of society, and; what is the relationship between the two? Peter Costello once argued the good of society emerges from individuals maximising personal benefit. Rudd and Gillard are doing just that; maximising their personal benefit.

As I said earlier until that view of life is challenged as it is the disease the Rudd/Gillard show will go on, maybe with new characters replacing that pair, but the same show never-the-less.

What therefore do you believe creates the good of society?
