David, when are you going to stop pretending that your concern is for the future of UNESCO and admit that your concern is for the support that is finally being given to the Palestinians. It must be really galling to you to find that Hamas has decided to unite with their other Arab brethren in their continued struggle for a fair go ftom the corrupt Israel government.

Good. Anything that kills all, or any part of that corrupt body, the UN will be to the advantage of all Ozzies.

We're it just a 'fair go' that Hamas, Hesbulla and the other 'Arab brethren', including Iran wanted, then ok. It is not ok to want to 'eliminate' , 'wipe off the map' etc etc the state of Isreal? A Palistinian state, incorporating the 75% Palestinian population of Jordan would be wonderfull, but I fear that would ever be enough for these organizations, other than the above elimination.

When Colonal Gadaffi's Lybya is elected as chair of the UN Human Rights Council (2002) is hard to disagree with Hasbeen.

It might shock Singer but Palestinians are humans and they have a good many natural beauties and cultural goods that need to be preserved.

Now enough, this is the third article about this nonsense in as many weeks - it is the US that has made it a poison pill and the Israeli's and no-one else.

David,

Superb article outlining the damage done to UNESCO.

Ms Bokova is now fully aware how dangerous it is to mess with the Jewish lobby. It stands as a stark warning to anyone who contemplates actions 'not in Israel's interests'.

We can only hope that if Obama, as the most Left wing president in many years, gets re-elected he won't have to fear the Jewish Lobby and might be able to put human rights and American interests ahead of Israel's interests (for the first time in a generation).

Keep up your good work. Next week can we have an article which denies the existence of the Jewish Lobby and accuses anyone who suggests so is anti-semitic? Not living under a tin pot tyrannt or dictactorship, and suffering under the auspices of a free press, we don't get your sort of copy very often. I do so look forward to my weekly dose of mania.
