If the ECB buys up big on government debt it does not mean Germany is heading back to Weimar times

Yes, well interesting but absolutely no mention of a major cause of
the problem we are all facing. The reduction to zero growth.
With no growth our whole credit system gets itself into strife as there
are no funds to repay debt.
Growth has disappeared because the cost of energy has consumed the growth.

Economists generally have totally failed to acknowledge the basic role
of energy and are totally finance orientated.
Paul Eslake is it seems one of that majority of economists who are still asleep.

"Bazz", I am very much awake. However if you're going to bag me, at least get my name right. It's Saul, not Paul. No 'road to Damascus' conversions for me.

Whoops, sorry about that Saul, I must have been asleep that time !

Seriously, it is interesting to hear economists, financial experts
bankers politicians etc etc all talking about the problem and none
ever refer to the primary need of energy to drive the economy.
It is energy that has got them into trouble not money.

I suggest that you have a chat with Jeff Rubin, a Canadian economist
who seems to be well connected in that field. He was Chief Economist
at CIBC bank in Canada. You can find him on google or Utube.
